No honeymoon until next year

I'm not sure how long the drive would be but Jamestown and Newport RI are lovely

My FH and I are getting married October of 2019, and dont plan to do our honeymoon right after the wedding. We're gonna wait also until the next year, so we can do a cruise. With us paying for the wedding ourselves and not having enough time off from our jobs, we'll do a bit of sacrificing until 2020.

FH and I are doing the same thing because we'd much rather save for a house. We're planning on taking a mini moon to universal studios because it's our favorite place.

What kind of things are you looking to do? beach? hiking? exploring the town?

Some ideas for you guys could be:

Ocean City, Maryland

Cape May, New Jersey

Fire Island, NY

Woodstock NY or Beacon NY

What kind of honeymoon do you want to take? NYC, Niagara Falls, the Blue Ridge mountains, OBX, or Ocean City are all drivable for you

Have you thought about getting an airbnb in the mountains or something?

We are waiting for our honeymoon too. With work schedules a weekend getaway is really all we can do. We live in California so we are looking into a beach getaway. For you maybe look into a quick trip to New York, Atlantic City, or Bridgeport. Good luck. It looks like there are many great places to visit around Philadelphia.

We got married in near Philly (Wayne). I'm originally from Philly and we can't do our real honeymoon until after Christmas this year. We did a long weekend in NYC and went bananas in the city. We had a blast and it felt "far" enough to be our minimoon.

I'm in Philly too. Places that are a couple of hours away driving. Cape May, Ocean City, New York City, Baltimore, Lancaster, the Poconos, Perhaps a town by the Chesapeake or a beach town in Maryland or Virginia?

I’m in North Jersey and was thinking the same thing. A few ideas I had are D.C., Boston, Mystic Connecticut, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod or Vermont.
