Let's have some fun! How did you meet?

Jake and I grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, and became best friends my senior year of high school (he was one year older). We were best friends for 4 years, dated other people, but we both secretly liked each other. We texted all the time, hung out with each other when we came home on weekends from college (we went to different colleges), and starting February 2012 we started talking every single day. Soon after, we finally held hands at a Brewer game, kissed for the first time, and the rest is history!

Like Kim, the theatre! It was auditions for "A Midsummer Night's Dream." I was directing, and my friend Jeff (who had played my husband twice before), brought in his theatre teacher friend to audition - telling me, "This guy is awesome. You have to audition him." So I did, and he was the Oberon I had been looking for.

We were both dating other people (although miserable in our relationships), so nothing happened. I did get a crush on him (running into the greenroom during production more than I needed to - I was supposed to be in the tech booth - in order to talk to him), and we became good friends. We remained friends for the next 8 months, seeing each other at the theatre, hanging out with the theatre group. Finally, we had both broken up with our respective partners and started dating. We have been together since our first official date - we just clicked.

We met at blues dancing almost 6 years ago. In case you haven't heard of it, it's a very fun partner dance that's become more popular in the last few years (although still really only in the major cities, and not all of them). We danced a few times together over a few weeks, then started chatting on FB, then went on a date, and there was a snowstorm...good times.

I had had surgery two weeks before, and was dying to get out of the house. A "friend" (turns out later we both confided we didn't like him) invited me over for beer pong. Because I was still super fragile and on meds, I agreed to make a short appearance. Once I got there, I was begged to play beer pong. Once I explained that I could neither bend down to pick up the ball nor drink the beer in my current state, he just got silent and kind of walked away. Then FH stepped up and asked if I would be on his team, that he would take care of everything. Little did I know he was FIERCLY competative and rarely lost... Well with me on his team he lost BIG time. He drank every beer and picked up every darn ball. I felt so bad I offered to bake him cupcakes. We exchanged numbers, went on what should have been a lackluster date (it's all about the company ) and we were hooked! A shared apartment, an adopted cat and 4.5 years later and were 33 days out from our wedding. I still feel like that protective spirit is alive in him, when my mom met him for the first time, she commented that he looked liked he would throw himself in front of a bus for me by the way she observed he interacted with me.

PlentyofFish.com. I had to make first contact because I was "out of his mileage range" (I think he had it set for 20 miles and mine was set for 50 - he was 35 miles away). Online dating for me was old news by then but I was the first he actually met in person.

We both worked at Glacier National Park one summer. He worked in the convenience store, I was in the gift shop. We used to make up reasons to call the other at work to discuss business and started planning all our breaks at the same time. After we left that summer we stayed in touch, but didn't date. A few years later, we had a reunion with some of our coworkers from that summer and the rest is history.

My dad was the best man at his parent's wedding... so we may have met much younger, but don't remember.

We met at a bar. I did karaoke there all the time because my sister was the KDJ. He walked in with some of his friends and it was love at first sight! I paid my sister to let me up again to sing (I had just gone) to get his attention and to get a better view. I came down and told her "I'm going to marry him!" He ended up leaving before we could talk, or so I thought. He was outside so my sister's friend dragged me out there and he came up to me and said I sang really well. Then we started talking and it turned out he went to my school but graduated as I came into highschool. We had gone to the same schools our whole life! My sis and him even have mutual friends (she's only year older than him)! He invited me to a show (he was in a band). I skipped it thinking he was just recruiting people to go to his show. After 7 months, me getting a night job, and me dating two other guys, I got dumped and wanted to go out and just have fun for once. I even swore off dating for a long time. My next chance to go out was coming up to see a friend's band. I checked the bands for that night and my FH's band was headlining. I went to the show, talked to him after the show, he gave me his number so that it "won't be a year before I see you again", and we have been inseparable ever since!

We meet at a mutual friend's Halloween Party. He came over to my group of friends and started talking and then eventually got me to leave the group and talk with him one-on-one. Exchanged phone numbers that night and went on our first date 2 days later. Got engaged almost 3 years later, got married 10 months after that and have been married for 22 months.

My Aunt set us up on a blind date... she came to me and said I have a good history of setting up couples (she set my parents up on a blind date and they've been married for 29 years) After giving her the look of oh dear God and saying I am not really interested. She gives him my phone number and he starts texting me daily. So I figured to stop being harassed. ..I gave in. Been together now for 2 years and getting married in ten months. Auntie really does know best!
