Let's have some fun! How did you meet?

He moved from his large city to my very tiny town my sophomore year (his too!) of high school. We hit it off and started to date about a month and a half after we met. The rest is history. .

For the record, he absolutely LOATHED small-town life when we moved here. Well, now he wants to stay here forever.

Someone asked this a few months ago and I loved our story so much that I put it into my online wedding planning folder. Here it is:

1. I checked a box on a form that said "which dorm do you want?"

2. Once I moved into my college dorm, I soon became friends with this kid named Twitch (nickname)

3. I took intro to bio and apparently my hubby remembers seeing me in that class but we never met

4. Dated one guy for a short while, flirted with many others, got my heart broken too

5. I was pursued by this one friend that I was NOT interested in, but he wouldn't let up

6. I started complaining to Twitch about it

7. Twitch kept talking and continued our friendship

8. Twitch told me, "I have a big, major thing to tell you but I won't for a few days to let the suspension build up."

9. I completely forgot about it and then a few days later he tells me he wants to set me up with his friend Brian

10. I said "maybe?" but then he convinced me

11. Went out with my hubby to a nice Chinese-food restaurant. The rest is history.

Also, the funniest thing is that we both initially said no to the set-up but our friend convinced us hahaha. :-D

We met on OKCupid! I was embarassed at first, but now IDGAF what anyone thinks LOL. I had been talking to another guy a few months before and he scared me so I didn't go on for a while. I went on again, and was considering deleting the profile when FH and I connected. I knew from our first date that it was meants to be!

We met on eharmony. lol. FH used to say craigslist... like that was any better. haha. dork.

i'll back eharmony to anyone! changed my life.

We met on Match.com! I like to tell people we are a "Match.com made in heaven" haha. Some people still give us funny looks when I say we met online, but I don't care what people think! It worked for us, and my sister and her boyfriend met on Match, too! Maybe we should be in a commercial haha

We met at the beach while on vacation.

It's not romantic at all. We were both drinking and started talking. I was highly embarrassed that I was in a bikini, lol.

At a bar! It was completely random. I was there for a friends divorce party, almost didn't go because I had pool league that night and so glad I did. He decided he needed to get out of the house and socialize and went to this bar by himself. Met him outside by the fire pit and talked for hours. Went on our first date 3 nights later. 2nd date 2 nights after that then pretty much every day since then!

BostonBride- Same here, lol. I never cared though just cause I was not going to go through my friends's friends

He was the "milk man" at the school where I taught

I love the internet success stories! My brother met his GF of 2 years on Match.com too. There's nothing to be embarrassed about BostonBride!

My FH was my boss's boss at my first job out of college.

We met in our work orientation 3 years ago, and he started conversations by joking with me about being quiet. We exchanged numbers when the class was over and started texting and meeting up at work.. only problem was (and FH knew this at the time), I was already in a 3 year relationship with someone else. FH tried so hard to get me out of that toxic relationship, he knew we were meant to be together but I wasn't having it.. FH and I talked on and off for the next TWO YEARS. Me and my ex broke up early 2013 and I ran in to FH at work one day after not talking for a while and started talking again like we never stopped. We weren't letting each other go this time, we made it official in June 2013 and engaged November 2013!!

We met on OkCupid. He sent me a message thinking that he had to say something to get my attention because he knew I would be getting other messages. So he sent me a message like:

and that definitely caught my attention.

My brother and I were playing in the backyard (He was 7, I was 4) and FH, his step brother and his cousin were walking down the street and stopped at the fence. We said "Hi, want to be friends" and ta da. Turns out their grandparents lived 3 houses down from my house. That was 20 years ago and we've been best friends ever since. Officially started dating 3 years ago after dancing around the idea since we were 14

I had to do a project for work in a BAD neighborhood. Someone tried to attack me one night and I called my boss hysterically crying and quitting my job. He told me I could hire a contract security officer to be with me the whole time I was at work and to walk me to my car at night for the rest of my 12 weeks there. I hired my FH lol. He still keeps me safe

We met in a production of Sweeney Todd - I was Mrs. Lovett and he was Judge Turpin. He showed up for auditions because of one of my friends, who happened to be the musical director, had been giving him voice lessons. We became really good friends and then from there, we formed our cover band. We've seen each other through a lot and I can, without a doubt, say that I am marrying my best friend. :-)

We met the first week at our university. The school has a bunch of optional meet-and-greet activities the week before classes start, so we both participated in the student center's first annual Lego competition. At the end when everyone was kicked out of the room for judging, we both had our noses pressed to the tiny glass window in the door to see which projects they were pointing to. He struck up a conversation, and we chatted until judging was over. After we both won 1st and 2nd place, he invited me to ice cream with his buddies to celebrate. I didn't know anyone at the school yet like he did, so that's how I made all my friends the first week.

I started working p/t as a server for a new bar in my hometown. He was the culinary trainer. I was the only server not going out at night or bringing a bf to visit at work. He finally asked me what my deal was, I showed up, did my job and went home. I explained I was a single mum to my then 3 1/2 year old and I had a full time job too. He asked me for drinks so I went because my son was with his dad for the night. I figured we would have some fun while he was here then one night after sex he asked if this was just for kicks or something more. And here we are 5 years later living together, quasi engaged with our boys (he raises my son as his own plus the one we had together)

We met through my BIL (sisters husband). FH and BIL were friends since elementary school.

FH had gone to my high school AND my college AND had been to my house before but we had never met. Glad we finally did!!
