Do it Yourself Centerpieces

H, on July 20, 2012 at 1:32 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

Does anyone have any ideas or pictures they can post of centerpieces that they did themselves. I am looking for centerpieces in white with a touch of lemon yellow. I want it to be elegant and pretty. We were going to have them done but cannot afford it now so I have to do them myself.

I can't actually paste the picture here at work but here are some simple while flowers in mason jars with lemons sliced in half inside the jar. Simple and pretty.

    Total cost -

    tall center piece:

    vase - 12.99 (walmart)

    styrofoam ball - 5 (walmart)

    roses (20 @ $1.00) - 20

The pearls i had from old necklaces and just nailed them in so total cost for the tall one is $38

    small one

    vase - 1.25 (dollar store)

purple flower - 1 (dollar store)

    black flower -4.99 (micheals)

I used the black flower in my bouts, centerpiece and still had a lot left over

the purple flower that was a dollar i used in cake and centerpiece

they also didn't need to be weighted down.

    Mine were uber easy:

First one is an Eiffel tower with two orchid sprays and pearls

Second is floating candle with holders I got at a clearance sale at Michaels

Third are two different size glass vases with sparkle paper inserted into them topped with hydranges and orchids.

You could do similar ones using yellow orchids instead of pink. Orchids are so elegant!

Fawn A. I love your centerpiece. So unique. So pretty, and very Halloween like but in a very classy way.

If you drink a lot of wine/beer, know friends who do, or work at a restaurant you can cluster clear bottles together for the centerpieces. You can wrap the bottles with lace, burlap, or ribbons and then put single flowers in some of the vases. You could also make paper or fabric flowers from scraps.

Chardonnay, white zin, Corona, Bud Light Lime, and some hard alcohol come in clear bottles. You could also spray paint some non-clear bottles yellow or white to go with your theme.
