Did you wear your veil all night?

SoontobeMrs., on February 5, 2017 at 5:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

Hi Ladies, did you all keep (or will) your veil on for the dinner and dance/reception? I can't remember how this works from the few weddings I've attended. If I wear a cathedral veil at what point do you recommend I take it off?

I'm taking mine off after the ceremony and pictures. I also have a cathedral length one, I don't want people to step on it.

I'm not. I'm just wearing it for the ceremony and a few pictures.

I was wondering this too. I've heard most take their veil off after the ceremony and pictures. However if the veil really makes "the look" I don't think it would be weird to wear it the whole time.

I only wore it during our ceremony and for pictures. I took it off before reception started.

Mine is cathedral length as well. Taking that sucker off as soon as the pics are done! I'll just keep my tiara on

You can probably keep the veil on until the first dance. If you feel comfortable wearing it longer throughout the night then I say keep it on! You paid for it, wear it!

I'll be keeping my fingertip veil on all night. It completes my dress and isn't obnoxiously long so it should be too bad.

I plan to *change* veils. I have a very lengthy, beaded cathedral veil for ceremony and photos and I was going to change into simple fingertip length veil for the reception because I prefer having the coverage. I will probably wear an updo and I'm self-conscious of my neck and back having nothing else to focus on.

I rarely see a veil when my brides come into cocktail hour.

I have a fingertip veil, and plan to wear it all night. My sister wore hers all night too.

I do however have a bridal comb for my hair - incase I do need to take my veil off - I'll have something to replace it.

I'm going with better safe than sorry - have a plan, and have a back up.

Only doing ceremony and some pics. Mine is cathedral length though. I also want to show my hair since I'll be spending an arm and a leg on it.

I'm planning on wearing mine as long as it's comfortable and not annoying. I'll have either elbow or finger length.

I decided to get my cathedral length veil bustled so I could wear it all night. I think it's a personal preference thing.

I have a cathedral for the ceremony that I will take off and switch into a shorter veil for the reception. If it annoys me I'll take it off.

This depends on the type of veil you are wearing ex: fingertip v. cathedral. I would say if it's cathedral, you may want to take off at the Reception so that you can move around freely, but I would recommend keeping it until after the 1st dance (assuming your dance is not so elaborate that it wouldn't permit it).

I'm taking mine off after ceremony and pictures. I know it'll annoy me. Some people wear theirs all night.
