Did you get your fiance the wedding band as a surprise?

That is such a sweet thing to do! We did not though.... we picked out our bands the same time we got my e-ring. Apparently he did not like my taste lol He did not go with any of the rings I picked.... he did not want any diamonds because of his profession so he picked a very simple ring that is white gold and black.

I personally want to go and choose our rings together. We went out shopping for my e-ring together so that we could get something that I absolutely love (and I was having my grandmom's diamond reset so I wanted to have a say in it). I would want to go out shopping together for our bands for the same reason, so we can both pick out something that we love. I'd be too scared to pick his out on my own haha.

I think it's very sweet that you want to surprise him.

I got his band, but let him pick it out. The engraving was a surprise, though!

Were doing surprises, He's picking out my wedding band and I am picking out his. And he wants his engraved so I am going to do that too and were not gonna see them until the vows. (:

His ideas, sometimes I think he's more romantic and sweeter then me.

Also, FH has never worn any kind of jewelry before - not even a watch. I wouldn't have had the foggiest idea of what he would like. Turns out, he picked something we both like very much, but his taste is different than I would have guessed.

I picked out 3 rings I liked..and asked his opinion on them. He showed me which one he liked best and that's the one I bought...so it was not a surprise.

It's interesting for some of you who prefer to pick it out together, some do the surprises to each other, and some let him do the pickings. I thought about letting him change the ring if he doesn't like the ring I am getting him but I believe he will like it because I had seen his previous marriage ring and it gave me some idea but with my own style for him. Hopefully he likes how it is that Im picking out for him. One thing that he WILL NOT SEE til the vow is that I am going to get it engraved, so one more surprise is awaiting at the end.

It d be nice to have my ring engraved too but my ring has two sets, and they are very small. My hand is small! LOL

We shopped together for his ring, but he couldn't find exactly what he wanted. At his antique shop, he rented space to a jeweler. So, the 3 of us sat down and designed his ring. He supplied some scrap gold towards it and I paid for the rest of ring.
