Did you do your own makeup for engagement pics?

I know most people have their makeup done for the wedding (I will also) but do most people do their own makeup for the engagement pictures? We are taking our pictures on Tuesday. Did you do your own makeup or have it done? Also any tips you could give me would be appreciated!

I didn't even wear make up for my e-pics. I am not a make up wearer and the last time I wore make up was to my senior prom 7 years ago. I am going to wear make up for the big day and I will probably do it myself or my sister will do it. And I probably have a more natural look because I am going for the whole hippie look

Thanks for all the great advice! The pictures all look great. I tried doing my own makeup today. Let me know what you think!

@ Amanda M. ~ You might want to try another trial session where you go for something a little more dramatic (e.g., darker on the eye shadow and blush, and a lighter, more shimmery lip gloss). Photographs do not come out the same as real life, so extra makeup usually looks better. However, your example above is still pretty, so if it makes you happy and you think that this look would make you happiest when you look back on it ten, fifteen, or even twenty years down the line, then just stick with this look since it defines you. At the end of the day, your own opinion is what will matter the most Smiley smile

Do your own. Have fun during the e-shoot...relax! Make a romantic date out of it and just enjoy yourselves!

I did my own, but I went to my local Bare Essentials a few days before and they gave me a look to use. I am not good with make-up, and they make it so easy to do and replicate. She even gave me a look sheet with everything on it. All of my make up is from them, and they worked with what I already had at home. All I purchased was the eye shadow ($13, but it lasts forever), but I am sure any cosmetic counter can help in the same way.

I had mine professionally done but it was to really give me an idea of what I wanted on my wedding day...it was kind of a consultation to see what I liked and what worked for me...I wanted more of a natural look

Did my own for e-pics(very light and simple) I have a MUA for the wedding. Your make-up looks pretty in the pic above. Great job.

No way, just booked some one. I'm actually using it as a trial run before picking someone to do the wedding day of. It's also worth knowing, just a regular event, like engagement sessions is usually 1/4 cheaper, 50-100 if you want hair & makeup.

I'm a MUA so I did my own. I'm not sure , yet, if I will hire someone else to do my makeup the day of my wedding because I want to feel pampered. But on the other hand, I may do it myself because I trust my skills lol...
