Did you clean your favor jars before using them?

So I don't know if I'm just being paranoid or not, but I was thinking I should wash or at least rinse out the little canisters I bought for the favors. I plan on filling them with M&Ms. Is anyone else cleaning their favor jars? Or do I just fill them and be done with it?

I'm the kind of person who cleans all kitchen stuff before using it so I guess I would wash them although that seems like a big hassle, depending on how many you have. You are putting unwrapped candy in them, so that would be another reason to wash them.

Just make just sure they are really, really dry! Nothing like a drop of water to ruin a perfectly good M & M!

Im a germ-a-phobe, im putting lollipops in mine, and even tho they are wrapped, i boiled my jars then put them thru the dishwasher LOL but i would def give them a little clean
