Destination wedding decor and gift bags

We are having a destination wedding in PVT Mexico and while most of everything is included we want to provide all the guests with gift bags and bring some decor (nothing heavy just the place card and escort cards) my question is that how does everyone bring all this stuff to a DW? Ship it before hand or bring an extra suit case for wedding supplies?

My friend brought everything with her in extra suitcases. They stayed an extra week so I brought the extra suitcases back with me. She made sure to use ones that nested inside of each other so I only had to bring back 1 suitcase instead of fumble with 3.

We're having a DW and plan on having an extra suitcase that my daughter will bring back with her since we're leaving from HI going straight on honeymoon.

Hi Andrea!
It may be a good idea to check out both options and weigh them up cost wise! Personally I would rather bring the extra suitcase!
Do you have many suitcases to bring with you already?

So thanks everyone for the advice, so turns out you can’t ship some of the stuff we wanted to bring to Mexico (chips and snacks) so we are just bringing what will fit in another suit case.
