Days off work before wedding?

I'm planning on taking off at least Thursday and Friday. I have the Monday prior off since its Labor Day, my hope is to take off the whole week, it just depends how much vacation time I have available.

I will be moving when we get married. My last day at my job will be one week before the wedding.

I'm taking the Thursday and Friday before and the Monday after. I work as a substitute teacher, so I'll just be going back to school for four days before Christmas break.

At least Wednesday and Thursday for my Friday wedding. Contemplating Tuesday too. We will see. We are doing a mini-moon through Monday and I'm also taking Tuesday to do paperwork (name change) etc and regroup - I don't like to have things hanging . FH is a teacher so he can't take more than that Monday after off

I took off Wednesday-Friday for my Saturday night wedding. Would take more but I need to save some vacation time for a summer trip.

I'm a teacher getting married in the summer but i always work the summer. I planned all my weeklong specialty summer camps to end two weeks before the big day because we have lots of people coming all the way from Africa so I feel like there will be lots of visiting and coordinating to do. Since I have a little bit of time flexibility i figured I would give myself the gift of time. Of course, that means less money. UGH!

I'm quitting my job at the beginning of May lol. I have finals and the last few weeks to get everything finished up so I was going to need to take quite some time off. But I'm hoping I get into med school for next year so I will not be working during that, and if I don't I'm getting a new job anyway. I can't stand my old one.

If I were you, I would take the extra days off on Wednesday and Thursday. You never know what could come up.

I am debating working the Tuesday before but 1 day that week seems almost pointless so I am probably taking the entire week off before. My other option is to schedule some of my clients the sunday and Monday before. I'm not 100% sure yet. My boss is awesome and told me I can do what I want. If I don't work that week I'd have about 2 1/2 weeks off between before and after the wedding :-)

I'm taking the full week before off. I can afford it vacation time wise and I'll need it for my sanity.

Since mine is on Sunday 12/1, I'll already have the Thursday and Friday off for thanksgiving, and then I'll be off the mon-wed after the wedding. So it'll be a total of 7 days off. We're not taking the honeymoon until January.

I am off Thurs the 7th for our rehearsal and Friday the 8th for last minute details. I think that seems to be the common trend here on WW. After the wedding I will be off for the next 10 days for a loooooong deserved vacation/honeymoon.

I'm taking the whole week off! I'm getting married in my hometown so I gotta go to my parents house to do the favors etc...

My first wedding i took off from the wednesday before wedding and was off for 11 days.

My man is taking two days off before wedding and three weeks off after so we can have a long honeymoon can't wait!!!

I'm still debating. I could take the whole week, but I don't know if I'll need to. I can decide when the time comes. I may only take Wed-Fri.

I'm taking Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday. We have a lot of family over seas and they are coming in for the wedding so we want to spend as much time as we can with them. That being said FH is taking full week before and after off, he has a lot more vacation time than me.

None. In my contract, I'm not supposed to take off the day before or after a 3 day weekend or any breaks. I'm getting married over Veterans Day weekend. So I'll be at work on Friday, we have off on Monday, but it's back to work on Tuesday.

This is a good topic, I was wondering just how many days I was going to take. My wedding is on a Friday. I haven't really thought it thru yet, but I was considering Wednesday & Thursday prior to the wedding. And the entire week after. We aren't going on our honeymoon until later that Summer.

So at this time it will be 2 days prior but if I have too many incomplete task; I may add an additional day. Heck, both me & my FH has 5 weeks vacation time.
