How many days off work are you taking before your wedding? Our wedding is july 5th, so ill be off the 4th, (friday) so i was thinking thursday for nails, waxing, and other girly stuff. Maybe Wednesday just for mental health? I will have a week off between the wedding and when we leave on a two week...

How many days off work are you taking before your wedding? Our wedding is july 5th, so ill be off the 4th, (friday) so i was thinking thursday for nails, waxing, and other girly stuff. Maybe Wednesday just for mental health? I will have a week off between the wedding and when we leave on a two week honeymoon.. So ill be off work a total of 3 ¹/2 weeks. Im iffy about taking another day, but it might be worth it for my sanity.

Ps- i have been a vacation horder in the past and will still have another 2 1/2 weeks remaining after taking the 3 for the wedding.

If you have the time, take it! You won't regret it. I got married on a Friday and had a half day Tuesday and the rest of the week off. I felt well rested, prepared, and sane. I highly recommend it! Smiley smile

I'm taking only one day off before to get my nails done and take the dogs to the boarder. No need to take time off after because it's spring break!

I'd love to also take Thursday off. We'll see. It's the end of the grading period, so taking off more than 1 is frowned upon.

I think I will be taking 3 days off before (if I'm still working) and a week afterwards so I don't feel rushed.

We're date twins! Not too many of us 7/5/14 girls out there. I'm still thinking about this...I'll most likely take the 3rd off as well. Our problem has been that no local restaurants are even open on the 4th for a rehearsal dinner, have you run into that?? If we can't come up with something, we'll do the rehearsal on the 3rd, if my OOT BMs can come in a day early and then just relax and have a small get together on the 4th at my mom's to watch fireworks and relax.

The wedding is on a Saturday, 09/13/14 so I'll be taking Thursday 09/11/13 through Wednesday 09/24/13 off. A total of 12 days off of work.

I'm taking thursday and Friday, but only because I have everything done! If I didn't I would have needed the entire week to finish up. I'm off all week next week too, but we are only taking a minimoon for 3 days but it will be nice to relax too Smiley smile

We both have a lot of vacation time saved up! I want to take off for two weeks! A week before and a week after the wedding.

I'm getting married on a Friday. I'm taking off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and I'll be back at work on Monday. that next week is a short week for me because it's thanksgiving and black Friday. My office is closed those days.

We will leave for our honeymoon two weeks later.

I'm taking a half-day Wednesday bc FH and I have to drive 8 hours to get to the city we're getting married in. I will then have Thursday and Friday off. It should be nice and relaxing Smiley smile

Ours is this Saturday. I always have Fridays off, so I took Thursday off as I have to drive four hours. I work tonight a half day, but I'm wishing I would have taken today off too. It would have given me more than enough time to tie up loose ends if I had taken tonight off, but as of now I'm rushing a bit, and slacking.

Full week off before, week off of wedding and then about 5 days after. My wedding is out of state to me (it's in St. Louis, I'm in Dallas), so I need that week prior to do all the lil things here and there like get our marriage license and be with my wedding planner all that week because the following will be Christmas and that will be hectic in itself and I don't want to be doing anything remotely stressful the week of the wedding.

Catherine- yes some issues with finding a location for our Rehearsal. There are a few nicer pub places that will be open that night. We gave FH's parents a few suggestions. One of the places we really liked is closed, but said they would open for us for only $1,800 in food. Yikes. Thats almost half my catering costs for my 150 person reception. Worst case, the hotel where we have a block of rooms has a place to eat and we can just hold it there.

My wedding is on a Saturday and originally wanted to take Thursday and Friday off. Everyone I work with, has young kids and I would feel terrible if they had to cover for me on Halloween (I work second shift). So, I am only taking the day before the wedding off. Plus, they will be covering for me while I take a week off so I can't be too greedy Smiley winking
