I didn't say you couldn't. But marriage is a natural progression in a relationship. I have seen so many couples date for 5+ years and one partner will become complacent in their current situation and the relationship never progresses past long term dating and cohabitating.

Oh wow that was a long time!

We became a couple on 12/18/2018. He asked 4/14/2021. We are planning to be married on 9/14/2024.
He wanted all the dates on my birthday which is 12/18, but we are scared to have bad weather on our big day.

My fiance and I been together for about 6 months. We were friends for about 3 years before we got together. My fiance tried to get with me during the three years when we were friends. He then tried again on February 11th of this year and ended up with me. We were gonna get married next year but decided to move out wedding date
to sometime in 2023

View Quoted Comment Nope! Fall is actually my favorite time of year but it’s way to expensive to get married in the fall at our venue. Also-bcuz of covid, we had to postpone it and our 2 dates were taken at our venue-2020 brides got priority for 2021. So, early spring it is. I actually am not a fan of winter-so, I’m praying for no snow in April!

100% We woulda married each other years ago tho lol. We started dating when he was still in high school, and then we just were never financially ready. He waited to propose until we were in the process of finding our first home, we not our happily living in our home and itching to get married lol

A little over 3 years after meeting, but 2.5 years after dating! Our first year was long distance (coast to coast). Then I moved across the US and 3 months in, Covid lockdown! If we could survive that together, we knew it was forever.
