Just curious, How long did you and your partner date before being engaged? My husband and I dated for exactly 3 years before he proposed. We made it official 10.06.16, he proposed 10.06.19, and we got married 10.06.20 What about you?

    We met in 2013 as friends (and happened to
    we know people in overlapping circles). Began dating in 2016. Engaged in 2019. 2020 wedding postponed. And now about 4 months left until the wedding.

    We officially dated for 7 months but were exclusively talking to each other for months before that. So by the time he proposed, officially dating for seven months but “together” for a year and a month. We’ll be getting married almost two years after he asked, in March of 2023

    My fiancé and I dated for 4 years and like 3 months before he proposed. We’re high school sweethearts so, we did 2 years in high school, 2 years out of school.

    Just shy of 6 1/2 years.

    But DH is also younger than me by a little over 6 years. I probably would have eloped with him after about 2 months, but he needed a bit more time, lol.
