That's beautiful. I feel like mermaid/trumpet gowns were designed for curvy girls. Rock it, gorgeous. You look lovely!

I think it is beautiful on you. It's actually showing your curves in a flattering way. One thing I always make sure to ask brides in these very tight dresses is can you sit in it? Move well for dancing? Sometimes a bride can't sit and if she does, dress slides from top a little exposing the ladies a little too much. I'd ignore the other girl, it's beautiful, just make sure you can move and sit in it!

The dress is the just about the ONE THING in the wedding that you don't have to care what anyone else thinks about it (guest's comfort/good hosting plays a role in most everything else). So the adage "you do you" really applies here without sarcasm. You love the dress, you go for it. And for what it's worth, I think you look amazing in it.
