So our colors were originally lavender, white an eucalyptus, with all of our floral decorations, table decor etc being made almost entirely out of eucalyptus and dried lavender. So we are going to actually keep almost all of that and then add some dark dark purple to everything. Like deep purple chiffon down the farm tables under the eucalyptus garland and purple peonies in the floral displays. Still thinking up all the different pieces but we are trying to give it all like a moody, gothic feel
We got our officiant and our venue! We were thinking of doing a murder mystery during cocktail hour and having a costume contest. Candles instead of flowers cuz I'm allergic. Hopefully this all blows over before Halloween!!

I haven’t made a decision yet. As of now with our venue we aren’t too close to any deadlines, and don’t need to be sending out invitations yet. I will likely wait until mid July to make the call, I was hoping to have a friend had make the invitations but with the unknown I may have to utilize a website to make them if we keep waiting and don’t postpone but that’s okay. I don’t want to call it too early, if my photographer isn’t already completely booked through 2021 I’m betting she’s almost fully booked.

Hello Halloween brides!! I wanted to check-in and see how you all are doing with everything going on. How are you lovely people doing?? How is planning going?? Anything change for you?? I wanted to check in with you guys because the date is only about 6 months away!! Have you found anything to help right now?? Right now for myself, it does not feel real at all but once I do my walkthrough again at the venue I have a feeling it will sink in.

My May 30,2020 wedding was post lined till Halloween! How are you incorporating Halloween to your switch? My dresses are light pink bc it was supposed to be a spring wedding...

Hi Micayla! My dress is ivory but my bridesmaids dresses are a light lavender, purple for the spring. So what I decided to do was add in a dark plum purple to my wedding colors. So I have plum table runners now, added plum accents to all of my diy decorations, and my bridesmaids will be carrying dark purple flower bouquets. I think the key is not completely charging your plan or your dress but adding in the fall/Halloween accents. Depending on your colors pink can be accented really well by the right shade or orange or some darker earth greens. Don’t loose the image you had before, just add to it and use the extra time you have for planning to make it even better

Burgundy would be beautiful! Our guest list was only ever 75 and we are only expecting around 50 to be actually comfortable coming. We were also always planning an outdoor ceremony and reception with a platted meal so we don’t have to change much to comply with the safety precautions. Also I’m in NH and our venue is very rural/isolated

I love the idea of dried lavender. Our colors are purple and blue with a splash of orange. We didn't actually choose it because it was Halloween but because it is a blue moon that night. Blue moons are two full moons in one month. They don't happen very often, just like falling in Love. Thanks for sharing the dried lavender idea. Sounds beautiful.

That is a priceless wedding theme on Halloween... Till death do us part! Did you know that in Celtic tradition Halloween was actually there New year's Eve? We are capitalizing on that tidbit of information.
