Well i had a venue and they just kept dicking us around so just cancelled it yesterday and chose to do a backyard wedding with zero people trying to tell me how i have to do things. Its going to be great!

This Halloween was a no brainer - coolest holiday, best season, awesome food options (chili and cornbread am I right?), and not to mention a full moon!
Have everything booked, pick up my dress Sep. 25th, and now just ordering the little things and knocking out the small details!

We are having our wedding day on Halloween! That is my favorite day! Our first date was a haunted house so it’s fitting💕

FH and I are also getting married this Halloween. We're met through and are both very active in our local Goth/Industrial scene, so it is THE dream date!

It's also been a whirlwind, though, because despite being engaged since last Halloween, we weren't supposed to be able to have our ceremony Halloween of this year originally. There was another event on that day that we were expected for, but it fell through -- but not until late June of this year. Between that and Covid, we didn't think our Halloween dream was going to come true, but once the date opened up we decide to just go for it.

We are compromising a bit; we want to have a less traditional celebration of some sort that incorporates more of our (secret) pagan beliefs and darker aesthetics down the line, but since the official wedding will just be a small gathering with our very traditional families, we're keeping it to moody jewel tones, an ivory wedding gown, and elegant nods to our darker inclinations (a tasteful amount of skulls (lol), 'Till Death Do Us Part theme, etc).

Despite the short timeline we have just about everything lined up! Just need the marriage license and to put together some of the more tedious little details (chasing final RSVPs, putting finishing touches on wedding favors, that sort of thing).

Hi ladies!!! Our hallowedding is still on but with changes - we are doing an earlier ceremony and cut our guest list in half! Anyone else moving the events earlier? Love a boozy brunch!

We are having trouble finding a Minister we can afford and one that will dress up.

We were planning on having it as a backyard wedding, so luckily with Covid happening we didn't have to change much. Still putting on the finishing details on the wedding stuff, but the majority of everything is done. My fiance is excited about it being a blue moon and a full moon that day, so I'm just as excited and happy we chose this Halloween to do it.

We are actually going with a Star Wars theme, and are encouraging guests to dress up (doesn't matter as what since we just want everyone to have fun).
