Centerpiece needs something...

on August 28, 2019 at 9:23 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 29
Our wedding is in fall — I’m making our centerpieces - are these too “winter” (I want them to be white/silver)

also do I need to add something in the vase? White stones? Marbles? Or just a ribbon around it ? I can’t make up my mind !

Maybe add some fall colored leaves to it and sprinkle some leaves on the table too

I’ll probably have to go back to my original idea - floating candles! Lol

I found these battery operated lights and thought they would look pretty with what you have, and add a fall look to the centerpieces. I love it but it does read a bit winter. Maybe if they were silver?

What about a tea light (a cool white not warm light) with clear marbles? That could create a frosty winters glow (and add more weight to the vase since those branches are tall).

Good idea! I’m not going to have them so tall, I just keep going back and forth with either these or an arrangement of vases with tea lights

If you are going for a fall look I wouldn’t do white stones. Maybe a colored stone or colored ribbon. 😊💛

Maybe these instead ??? With the white branches though ?? A bit warmer ..

or these without branches (we just didn’t want flowers so I would have to think of something else for in the vases)

LED tealights and floral stones go a long way. Plus, you can get them for cheap at Dollar Tree. Smiley laugh

I do think some marbles or bling would give it a little extra something

If you did the tree with the vase I would suggest putting either grey or blue rocks and ribbon around the vase. If you go with the floating candles they are pretty and would be more "fall" rather than the braches in the vase but its up to you! I think both are very pretty and will work! Just gotta add your colors to it or add something that you like.

What about draping or hanging jewels to resemble icicles?

I really like the height, just don’t want them to tip over. Keep this idea! Very wintery. If a tea light doesn’t fit in the vase maybe a drop light or small fairy light with the marbles? Oh, clear or white. White could look snowy.

Personally, I would add a ribbon around the center of the vase and put either marbles or river rocks in the bottom of the vase.

Personally I would add a silver ribbon and/or silver marbles/stones

I think that's beautiful (better then floating candles!) but a wide silver or blue ribbon would make it pop more. You could also spray paint some of the sticks in a silver color to give a little variety and mix up the white. Both would be gorgeous.
