K, we've all seen them. America's Funniest Home Videos of couples who take the cake tasting a tad to far and end up with it all over themselves. My question is, is anyone planning on to this on the big day?

The reason it's on my mind is my boss came back from her niece's wedding last weekend and has a story fit for the Jerry Springer show. Apparently the bride thought it would be a hoot to ambush her groom and smear the cake all over his face and in his hair. It was all fun and games until he decided to get her back. Instead of taking it in stride she began crying because it was all over her and began swinging and smacking him....in front everyone! He was trying to fend her off and I guess this went on for a few minutes until finally she DECKED HIM IN THE FACE! The family is currently taking bets to see how long the marriage lasts.

Personally, my FH is well aware he is not to do this to me, or I to him. I am spending way too much to look pretty to end up with cake in my hair.

FH is WAAAAY too smart to try anything like that.

Plus we've talked about it and it's not happening.

We're going to pretend to do it to each other (we're going to have the MOH (my sister) and the best man (his best friend) right next to us) then I'm going to smash it in the best man's face and he's going to, to the MOH. It'll be fun!

We talked about it, and even mentioned smashing it in the MOH, & BM face instead. just have them up there to do their speech and then go right into cake cutting and getting them. only because I didnt want a MOH cause i have daughters how wanted that roll. and i could say one was and one wasnt, and my bestfriend showed her butt to get that spot... so cake smashing in her face has been talked about just because of that. but havent decided, Fh hates cake and has agreed on letting me do the cake tasting for pics, but no cake smashing.

I think we are having 2 glasses one with bride on it the other with groom then which ever glass gets the most money that is the one that gets to do the smooshing of cake to the other.

I think calling it disrespectful and tacky is a little overboard. Relax.

If you discuss it and decide not to, then he does.it anyway, yes thats rude. But more power to the couples who like to have a little fun!

We didnt smash cake, but he put some frosting on my nose and kissed it off. I would never get mad at him for that because I paid for makeup.
