Cake Cutting - Do or Ditch?

Do-just for the pics really

Both FH and I are not cake lovers so we will be having cupcakes for our guests...but he still wants to have a small cake to do the traditional cake cutting together.

We will do the cake cutting but it will NOT be a shoving mess lol. I'm not getting anything special to cut it with though. I'll use what our venue has.

We are doing it for the sake of photos. You pay for the cake, why not?

We aren't having cake but I still kind of want to do this. So we are serving ice cream and cookies but I am going to have a friend make a small cake or cupcake we can cut into just for us. Part of the reason I want to do this is because my fiance is a stage combat teacher with lots of swords. We want to cut the cake with a long sword.

We plan on cutting our first piece of cake together for a memorable moment.

Heck yes! So happy we did one. It was fun and romantic!

Definitely kept this tradition! I always recommend couples have a cake at their wedding to cut in to, even if it's just a small little one. It's fun and sweet and makes for cute photos.

I didn't plan to have a cake because we are going out to eat instead of having the big dinner reception. I don't have a problem ordering a cheesecake for us.

I'm not sure it would serve any purpose for us.
