We are doing cupcakes but because others were not happy that we wouldn't have a top tier we decided to do a 2 tier cake with the cupcakes. So we will be cutting the bottom tier.

We're doing a small cake for the purpose of us to cut and then cupcakes. It has already been agreed upon that there will be no cake in the face though

We're doing this for the sake of tradition... we don't have a lot of traditional things planned for our reception... for example, we're not doing a bouquet or garter toss and there won't be a father/bride dance.. so, we figured this was a little one we could throw in there.
