Brides postponing- what are you going to send out for the new date?

Michelle, on March 21, 2020 at 8:21 AM Posted in Planning 1 7
I had to postpone from April 18 to October 17. I have updated our website, sent Facebook messages, texts, emails, etc to notify our guests of the postponement. However, we are also planning to send a details card with a new RSVP card closer to the date. I’m just not sure how to word the details card or what to include (besides the typical date, time, location). Anyone have suggestions/examples for what they’re going to do?

    Quick question... why did you go out so far to change your date to october? why not july or something? just asking because i was suppose to get married this year in may and am having a hard time trying to decide for july or even later than that so just was wondering what your thoughts were about doing it so far away

    It was the only date our venue had available that worked for most of our vendors. We ended up only losing one, which was a win for me!

    I postponed from April to September.

    I am going to send a card out in June I think.

    I addressed it like any other invitation because I still wanted it to be pretty formal. Just says you're invited to the wedding of blank & blank on so and so date and see the website to RSVP

    I went March 28 ---> October 31.

    We were offered a date in May. (Too soon.)
    3 dates in August. (1 bridesmaid due in June and 1 due in August. NO WAY.)
    Oct 31
    Weekend before Thanksgiving Weekend before Christmas
    October 31 just suited my personality better.

    I LOVE stationary. So we are sending out all new invites.

    We want to lean in hard to our Halloween wedding. So we are theming our invites and also letting people know they may absolutely wear costumes. Our original wedding plans were fairly formal, we threw that out the window for our new plans.
