Bride & groom and bridal party entrance at reception

Private User, on October 25, 2012 at 10:22 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 19

Any one have any ideas of songs to be used for the entrances at the reception that are upbeat/pump up/ party rock style songs? I am trying to look int osongs from the 90s as that is the music we grew up with. The only things i am finding are 80s rock and the black eyed peas which are fun but getting overdone.

That's funny, the 2 songs I was going to suggest are:

    1) AC/DC - Thunderstruck

    2) Black Eyed Peas - Pump It

    Also, there's T.I. - Bring 'Em Out

    For the bridal party:

Tag Team - "Whoomp! (There It Is)"

Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch - "Good Vibrations"

Wreckz N Effect - "Rump Shaker"

    TLC - "No Scrubs"

Ricky Martin - "Livin' La Vida Loca"

Deee-Lite - "Groove Is In the Heart"

Right Said Fred - "I'm Too Sexy"

I don't know if any of these are appropriate for you. I just cut and pasted a few 90's songs.

My FH and I are obsessed with football so we are doing either the beat to the Sunday Night Football or the Fox Football song then we will be introduced kind of like a team lol. My cousin had the Rocky theme song and they came out with boxing gloves lol I thought that was pretty cool. Im not sure if you are into hip hop/rap but another wedding I was in we came out to "walk it out"

Our WP entrance song is "I'm Glad You Came" by The Wanted and our entrance song is "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

I wanted something fun, and something "us". My DJ even complimented us on our song selection that it was different and fun.

    Good luck!

Our BP - who were our kids/teens came out to LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

We came out to the intro (first 40 seconds) to Shipping up to Boston by Dropkick Murphy's & Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

We're undecided on the BP, but Beethoven's 9th Symphony to get the crowd warmed up, then FH and I will walk in to a live version of Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart". Not a romantic song, but it's our song.

FH wants to use gainham style but we'll be entering to arabic drums as part of the zeffa. not sure what the bridal party will be entering to yet.

i did suggest that the wedding party learn the dance and bust it out when the dj plays it...if it's still cool by next fall.

So recently my FH has shown me shipping up to Boston and I LOVE the beginning; however we are not Irish nor have either of us been to Boston. Would it be weird if we used the first minute of this song? I wanted kickstart my heart but he says it's too 80s.
