Bouquet Toss: Yea or Nay?

Are you tossing your bouquet at your wedding, or skipping this tradition? If you’re tossing, will it be your actual bouquet or a prop? Photo by Ira Lippke Studios in New York, NY Next question: Garter Toss: Yea or Nay? Or start from the beginning here: Yea or Nay?

This is a great suggestion! I had never thought about how heavy bouquets are! Someone would definitely get taken out by one lol!!!

A lot of people are saying the same thing! I'm noticing people don't like them as much!

I saw one amazing idea on here this morning that I am going to steal because my FH and I don’t like the pressure this act puts on single girls to get married or fight to be the next.

The idea was to have the DJ ask all married couples to stand up and call out how Ling they had been married, then the bouquet goes to the couple who has been married the longest!

Skipped it. I think it unnecessarily breaks up the reception and no one really wants to be called out as a single women at a wedding

We didn't do it! There was not many people that were single, and I do not think anyone missed it!

I am happy we didn't because we had more time to dance and have fun!

Maybe. But we don't know quite yet, and even if we did it would be with different flowers. I want to keep mine!

Lol!! Would you do it because it's a tradition, or would it be because others enjoy it?

More than likely due to tradition but I may change my mind and get rid of it all together.

Nope, skipping it!! Not interested in either the bouquet or garter toss, and I don’t want to stop the party to do it!

Skipping it. Not enough single women and also, I hated being singled out at weddings in my single days. I’m not gonna do it to my friends.

Nope. Most of our single guests are single by choice and would not want to participate. Not doing the garter thing either.

But not to begrudge anyone who is excited to do these things! We all get to have our day.

Skipping but I will be giving my bouquet (or a "toss" one) to the longest married couple. We are going to invite all married couples to the dance floor and have people sit as the DJ counts upwards in years. Last couple dancing takes the bouquet and (if they want) can offer a word of advice.
