My friends bday is my wedding day as well. My FMIL is making her a small cake and I'm having my dj announce it and we will sing her happy birthday. She will loooove it!

My husband's cousin had a birthday on our wedding day. When we did our "welcome everyone" speech before dinner, we acknowledged her and asked her to stand. She is really really shy, otherwise we would have sung to her! lol

It really depends upon your relationship to the guest, the guest's personality, and the nature of your reception. Most wedding receptions are different than game programs, but when we do our game programs we offer the birthday honoree an opportunity to be a contestant or to simply sit back and watch (it is their birthday, it is their choice). We even have a special birthday contest. Ron

My MOH's daughter's birthday is our wedding day she will be turning 23. One of my friends and guests of the wedding also has a birthday on our wedding date. They have both said their birthdays will be that much more fun going to a wedding. I plan to have the dj mention anybody's birthdays and thank them for attending or something to that effect. The funny this is FH's birthday is the next day!

My FBIL bday is the day before and FSIL is the day after and mines is 3 days later. Just give them a quick little shout out for their bdays.

H's boss and my cousin both had birthdays the day of our wedding. We joked with H's boss we would tell our guests where he was registered (he got a kick out of that). We had both birthdays announced. H's boss takes a trip every year that he skipped because of our wedding. we made a big deal out of it for him.

We have like 5 Birthdays (2 the day before, 2 the day of and 1 the day after)! We are asking the Baker to make 5 cupcakes and we'll present them to the bday peeps during our "thank you" speech and thank them for spending their special day celebrating ours!

Little cake, depending on how shy they are, sing or not.

We have one birthday on our wedding day and one the next day, plus the first anniversary of one couple. We were going to have the DJ announce it near the beginning of the party, probably before or after toasts. A special cupcake is a great idea! I think we will do something like that too.

My wedding day is my sister's birthday (purpose) so we're having a birthday cake for pur desert spread although, my situation is a bit different. I think a Dj announcement would be cool

A little acknowledgement is pretty cool. Just depends how close you are to this person. If it was someone I was close to I would have a little announcement of some kind.

I've gone to 2 weddings on my birthday, and both required me to get on a plane. I wasn't super happy about it either time. At one (my cousin's), the bride had the band sing happy birthday. That was nice. Smiley smile

Thank you. I think I'll do the personalized cupcakes and maybe have the dj mentioned it.

H's cousin had a birthday the Thursday before our wedding, so we did a slice of cake with a candle and everyone sang to him. It was cute and we were happy to acknowledge it!

I would suggest giving your guest a small birthday cake after the wedding.

My close friend from college's 25th birthday is my wedding day and he's not the type to want to steal the spotlight, but I'm having the DJ and guests sing happy birthday to him and we're making sure he has his own special cupcake.

I think it's a nice gesture. Our DJ's birthday is the day before our wedding. I'm getting him a little something since I'm sure he would be with his family if he wasn't working at our wedding.

FBIL got married on his 30th birthday. FSIL (the bride) got him a cake, we sang, it was cute. I think it's a little different though since he was the groom.
