Best site for photobooks?

krisalicious, on May 27, 2012 at 10:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18

Just wondering if there's a consensus. Mixbook? Are there any other upload/printing companies with good templates that people like to use over other sites?

I'm mildly obsessed with our HM photos at the moment and I want to get them on paper before I lose my motivation. Smiley smile

I really like the premium books at ritzpix.com.

NO NOT get the regular 1 hour pick up in store ones.

They don't use ink dots so you get a very clean finish to the photos.

Whatever you do DON'T go with MyPublisher.com. Complete and utter waste of money. You can see the individual ink dots. Very poor print quality.

I love www.winkflash.com. Create it then wait to purchase it until they run the sale that is unlimited pages with the code ALLBOOKS. I have 3 books in various stages of development that I need to complete before the sale rolls around again. I used them for our engagement photos. The book became our RD guestbook. It came out GREAT!

I love Mixbook, I just made our guest book there and I couldn't be happier. I also made our I Spy cards through them, and a few months back made a coffee table photo book of my landscape photography and it turned out fantastic! Look for groupon and livingsocial deals with them as well, they have great deals sometimes.

I had a bunch of coupons from DB for shutterfly, so that's the one I used. My books haven't arrived yet, so can't vouch for them yet. Kinda interested to see what everyone else recommends, so I can see if I should use a different site to make the gift books for the in-laws.

I used and LOVED shutterfly as well. We ordered a bigger 12x12 book and it was completely custom. Then I ordered 2 more of the smaller 8x8 for my mom and my MOH.

I also used them when making an album for DH of my b-shoot pics but that was before they came out with their new custom path.

I like ordering prints from Adoramapix.com. Picture quality is fantastic.; it's like you can't tell it was digital photo. I don't know about their photobooks but I imagine it would be just as good.

    Kris, I love the photos!

I also loved Shutterfly. The free book from my reviews was awesome. It was a tad time consuming, but the results were great.

Cate also bought us a book from Shutterfly for Christmas. However, she inadvertently ordered a soft copy. It is still lovely.

I use snapfish every year to collect my favorite photos into a book. I like their templates and the quality is good. And you can sign up for their emails, create your book and save it, and wait for a discount code to get it cheap! I did a buy one get two free last time, can't complain about that!

Above is a great blog review that was done by an independent blogger on the top sites.

I have only used blurb because of a groupon. Thought the software was easy to use. Ordering was easy and ver pleased with the final product. Also liked that you download software to your computer so you can work on it while not connected to the Internet. Easy uploading and ordering.

I used costco for our engagement pics as a gift to the in-laws, haven't picked it up yet so we'll see what the quality is. The price was awesome, $25 for a custom, 30-page book

I am amazed the reviews liked MyPublisher. Anyone who looks at hte pictures of their printing can see they are horrible.

I have used Shutterfly and find there books to be flimsy and I have heard good things about Mixbook. My photographer created my wedding album using ZookBinder. Not only is it beautiful, I am seriously impressed with the quality of the paper and printing, the thickness of the pages, they lay flat and will last me a long time. Everything I want in my wedding album. I hope this helps!
