Stamps cost what they cost. The only "discount" you may find is if your save the dates are postcards since postcard postage is cheaper than first class mail.

    Um, the post office?

There's no such thing as saving on stamps. They cost what they cost- $0.49.

    The post office...

If you want to save money on postage for save the dates you can send postcards instead of something in an envelope.

(Also, make sure you're counting sending one to each household, not each guest. I've seen that mistake on WW a couple of times.)

You can't get a discount on stamps - but they do have some really cute wedding-y ones

@Chelsea - you got 100 for less than $50 at Costco because that's what it costs everywhere. Literally, everywhere.

Stamps.com has a promo that gives you $5 in free postage when you open an account. If your STD's are post cards they will cost less than a standard envelope.

Yes stamps themselves are always 49 cents forever...BUTTTTTT.... copied from stamps.com:

"Sending a postcard is an extremely affordable way to communicate when you're using the U.S Postal Service—regular postcards cost only $0.34 to mail!"

My stds were postcards and i didn't know this at the time. So I paid 49 cents.

Where you buy your stamps is less important than the type of STD you choose. Stamps are a standard price as long as the mailpiece is a standard size, shape, and weight. You'll pay more in postage if they're heavier, thicker, or even if they're square instead of rectangular.

Postage is what it is however you can pay more for cute stamps so the question is a good one. Stamps from the post office directly are the best price. The custom cute ones offered online are pricier.

If you work at a business that has a postage meter, ask them if you can buy postage from them. A regular piece of first class mail is $0.46 ran through a postage meter.
