Beach wedding color scheme

Angie, on January 12, 2011 at 1:25 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 23

I can't seem to make a final decision on my colors. It's really starting to stress me out. All I know is that I would like to have rich, bright, & vibrant tropical colors. Colors that, when seen together, will have everyone smiling! Just absolutely beautiful. For sure I'd like orange to be a part of the color palette. Please Help! Smiley smile

I really ike aqua and orange for a beach wedding. Hints of pink would also be reminiscent of the sunset on the water.

I have noticed Tiffany Blue featuring heavily in 1weddingsource.com at the moment, so I thought it was about time I put together a tiffany blue scheme for you to consider for your wedding.

Tiffany blue is inspired by the color of the boxes from the famous jeweler’s store. It has proved a popular choice with brides & in recent has led to many wedding related items incorporating the color in their design.

Dress your bridesmaids in tiffany blue dresses with matching shoes. You can also have the groomsmen waistcoats & cravats/ties made from the same fabric. You can also try www.ellamall.com.

I think blue is expected at the beach, so I would go a different direction - Coral, Orange, Fuschia.

I am using Orange as my primary and red & yellow for accent. It is in Hawaii and it matches the local flowers.

Amy... That sounds beautiful. I also want orange as my primary color.

Cindy... I love the style of dresses in that pic! Where did you get it? That's what I had in mind for my bridesmaids. Love it!

I did aqua and coral. You can see the MOH dress. And my mom bought a coral colored dress to coordinate.

I really like orange for a beach wedding. It really pops out among all the blue, especially if you are going to be down on the beach. Blue is a popular color, but depending on the day, how blue the sky and ocean are, you may loose the blue color to the landscape. I think that the yellows, oranges and pinks that are mentioned in this post are excellent colors for a beach wedding. I will say though, I like the colors that Analy aka T-waffle suggested. It is a sophisticated combination.

I was married in Naples Florida and I chose a Tiffany Blue. I knew long distance it would be hard to let everyone choose thier own dresses, so I sent them paint chips from Home depot with a whole variety of blues that would work together, it worked well.

I love the photo of the Orange, Fuschia, and Coral. It looks great together, even if it's not what i'd personally go for. I'm very Anti-Pink usually, hatteeee it.

I'd go Aqua and Orange, because it looks great together and is bright and fun. But here are some other ideas.

    1. Orange and "Lime" Green

    2. Orange and (Royal) Purple
