Bachelorette Party... Philly area brides, what are YOU doing? :-) **UPDATE IN COMMENTS**

LavenderJoy, on June 8, 2014 at 12:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

So my MOH (sister) is planning my bacheorette party. She asked my opinion on what fun activity I would like to do. Other events of the night will be a surprise. lol

Any who, initially I told her I wanted to go to Vango Skybar in philly and have a VIP table. Well after reading the reviews on YELP I'm totally scratching that idea!

Any suggestions on lounges in the philly area?

My younger sister is planning my bachelorette party, so I don't really know the specific details. I do know that we are going to a gym somewhere in the city for pole dancing lessons and then out to a few of the bars in the area. She and her friends are more familiar with center city than I am, so she is making the choices. I can't believe that it will be next week. All of a sudden, things are really moving quickly.

I just got home from my philly bachlorette party. We stayed at the Marriott next to city hall- fantastic hotel. Ate at brenzinos (Rittenhouse area) then went to Hunk-o-mania. We had a VIP table and it was awesome!!!! We had so much fun. I have a few bruises this morning from the strippers.

Not sure if you used it, but we used uber instead of a cab, and it was awesome!

We rented a limo bus and did a wine tour on the Bucks County wins trail and then went out to a fancy pants dinner. I was low key and a blast which is exactly what I wanted.

Thanks ladies for all the suggestions!

@Lilly- sounds like you had a blast! My sister would like to get a hotel downtown as well so we have somewhere to rest our heads and then eat brunch in the morning.

    What is Hunk-o-mania?

Was the Marriott a Residence Inn or Courtyard property?

We are spending the night at either the Sofitel or the Marriott across from Reading Terminal. We are doing mani/pedis at Blue Salon (my fave place) and potentially blow outs at Blo/Out as a day activity. My bachelorette needs to have a PG13 start because of my 13 year old sister.

We're going to go to dinner (probably El Vez) and we might go see a comedian at Helium. We are also looking at doing a drag show and then just bar hopping all night!

PS not sure what your FH is doing but E and his guys are starting their day off at Parx to bet on the ponies. They are renting an apartment in Old City from AirBnB to spend the weekend in!

We're heading to AC for the weekend. Spending the day at the beach in Brigantine then out to dinner and clubs in the evening. I am so excited!

I've gone to a few Philly bach parties, and they've all been a blast. For one we did some bar hopping and ended the night at Jolly's dueling piano bar, which was lots of fun. We told them a head of time about the bride and they had her name written on chalkboards and called her up to serenade her.

For another, we took a pole dancing class at the bride's request and it ended up being SO fun (and a really great work out...you feel it for days)!! Then we went to a concert featuring a local band, and she got to go up on stage and dance her heart out. Tons of fun!

There are so many options to choose from, I am sure you will have a blast!

@KochBride- That sounds fun! FH and his guys are renting a coach bus and going to Philly. There are 22 guys going! But thats normal for his group of friends. Its like a ritual each time someone is about to get hitched. But they are doing dinner and a strip club.

Speaking of strippers, So I just ran the hunk o mania idea pass my sister and because all my girls are married or with someone, she doesnt think that will be a good idea. I just want to be able to eat, drink, dance and have fun. I really want to party in the Rittenhouse area! Ive heard so much good things about people partying there.

Look into Ladder 15, Howl at the Moon or Duel. Howl and Duel are piano bars and are really fun for bachelorette parties. I did my birthday last year at Duel and it was great!

My MOH and BM's know the details. All I asked was to have a nice dinner with the gals and would love to do a Spa weekend down the shore. Three of my ladies have beach houses and to spend a nice relaxing weekend at one of their houses would be perfect for me. I am not into strippers and the bars are not my kind of thing....

Lily, we went to Hunk-o-mania too! lol We went the 31st though

It was a ton of fun (I did have a bruise on the back of my head though lol and 2 of the gentlemen grabbed my cell phone off the table and put their numbers in it... you know, in case the marriage thing doesn't work out lol)

Friday night we bar hopped then crashed at my house after (I live 15min outside of the city) Saturday we went up to NYC to see a show in the early afternoon, came home and changed into our corsets, went to eat at PYT (lots of fun looks there lol), and then went to hunk-o-mania. And Sunday we drank mimosas and sangrias all day and went to a spa. Best weekend ever. We decided to do this once a year regardless of weddings lol.

For spas, I like Eviama, which has all sorts of spa services and yoga. I like Toppers as well. Both are close to Rittenhouse Square. As for food, Mixto and Valanni are amazing for dinner. They both should have brunch as well. You have a lot of choices. Jose Garces has 5 or 6 restaurants around Philly. There is Morimoto. Loads of steak houses and Italian.

Is Branzino still open? They were on the news this past week. The IRS raided the restaurant. There weren't many details on the news, so not sure what's going on there.

I believe its a courtyard.. Its a huge hotel, i though i heard 1400 rooms and is an entire city block. Hunkomania is a male review.. Lots of hot men!!! We had a vip table, i was brought on stage, thrown on the floor, flipped over, and picked up. Haha. It was great! Two of my closest friends are a lesbian couple, and they said it was the most fun they had in awhile.. I would drink before hand. Make sure you have lots of $1s..

I hear the actual location of the show is determined by how many tickets they sell, our show was upstairs at Club Risque.

So we decided on Lucky Strike in Philly. My sis booked our room at the downtown Marriott as well.

So my bach party will consist of:

    Dinner (a surprise where)

Lucky Strike for bowling and other fun

    Some other surprise

Stay at the Marriott for drinking and fun

    Brunch on Sunday

    Super excited! August 16th!!!
