ETA my response: I'm fine with it, mostly because FH has never gone to one before. I always told my ex no fucking way would he have strippers at his bachelor party, and i think that says a lot more about how i felt towards him and my levels of trust than the idea of strippers in general.

I personally would not be comfortable with it to be honest. I think the whole thing is demeaning to women (and men who strip)*. There are plenty of other ways to have fun and get shit faced without going to strip club or having a stripper come over. Plus it's totally cliche like you said.

My FH most likely won't be going to a strip club for his Bachelor Party (his choice), but I've always liked to think that I'd be okay with it. I think that the Bachelor/ette parties are supposed to be a little bit cliche - that's what makes them fun!

Personally, I think it's dumb and cliche.

I wouldn't be a huge fan of the idea, but I trust FH enough to know that nothing would happen.

It's all about having mutual respect for one another and knowing the boundaries of your relationship. You just gotta communicate your feelings.

If he wanted to partake in that kind of thing, I'd be fine with it.. He certainly wouldn't be sleeping in my bed that night though! Yuck. I definitely know that's not his cup of tea. His brothers are taking him to Wisconsin for a football game (we're from PA). I could only imagine his brothers' faces at a strip club haha! They'd be in shock.

I'm not okay with it, not because I don't trust him... But that it doesn't alone with our values at all. We're both very passionate about monogamy and although it's not cheating, why would you pay a girl (or guy) to dance naked-ish unless you're wanting to be uber macho or fantasize. I don't really see the point, and neither does fh

If he was the kind of guy who was into that, I probably wouldn't be marrying him. But trust-wise, or if he was going for someone else's bachelor party, I wouldn't have a problem with it. He's got enough dignity and common sense that whatever. None of his friends have ever had stripper-type bachelor parties though. It's super cliche.
