Hi everyone! We post pined our December 26th 2020 wedding to August 2021. I’m just wondering how wedding planning has been going for August brides 🎉🍾❤️🥂
Omg I postponed to August 2021 too! Initially would have gotten married March 2021, but to be safe we pushed it back. Congrats!! 🎊🎉. Wishing you the best✨ & Sending you an abundance of love ❤️
I am very much a "planner" & love to have things done in advance. So far, we have pretty much everything except for some decorations, hair/makeup, & the day-of schedule.
I'm REALLY hoping that everything is better by August 2021. It can't come soon enough!!
August 28, 2021 bride. We don't have much done. We have decided a few things, such as our photographer, the one marrying us, and what did we're having, but not much else. My step mom is helping and she's got quite a few things for decorations. No venue picked out. It's so close, yet so far away and I have no idea what I'm doing still, even with the help of this wedding app. I've been planning since January of this year. But we plan to use our taxes for the wedding so I think once tax season hits, it'll be better.
I'd love to hear from others on the same! We were still hoping to invite our full guest list and go from there, but I just don't know how absolutely crazy that is...?!
Please no judgements here, just gauging the size and locations of other peoples weddings? We had always envisioned on getting married in Tulum, Mexico and my fiance still really wants to pursue that option. We would likely invite 200 initially, and go from there with COVID, etc.
Is anyone else planning a larger wedding right now? Anyone else planning a destination wedding?
August 5th 2021 here! Venue and photographer booked. Just got my planner binder from my coordinator so I will be soon in touch with my other vendors soon. We've nailed down decor, music, and favors. Very excited to go look at dresses with moh and bms in a few weeks. We downsized from 150 to 55 just to be safe, even though its still a while away we don't know what shape the world will be in and didn't want to take chances.
We’re close to narrowing down a venue and setting a date for our big day. Once we have that we’ll likely need to work real quick on finding a florist, DJ, etc. Our biggest challenge was getting responses to emails for proposals and setting up venue tour appointments.
August 21, 2021 I feel like it's going amazing. I believe I have all of my flowers and decorations (using fake flowers cause they last longer 😋) that I need. I also have the honeymoon planned as well. I just need to start getting addresses together and centerpieces designed. I still need to get my dress altered too.
I am struggling 😩 I don’t know where to find the vendors I need or what centerpieces to buy idk where to look for ideas 😔 my fiancé and I have our venue booked! We are paying for our wedding ourselves so it’s been rough 😕 I’d greatly appreciate any advice from you lovely brides to be!!♥️♥️
Try Pinterest for ideas! Luckily the venue we picked had a few table settings staged for us - so I took their ideas and put a spin on them. We too are paying for our wedding MOSTLY ourselves. Huge tip ... DIY when you can!
When looking for vendors try talking to your venue to see who they have worked with regularly in the area. Also wedding wire has some nice recommendations for vendors if you live near a large city. If not I recommend Thumbtack as well, I found my photographer there. My venue is covering my centerpieces, and a lot of little things were included with our venue. Like the linen, lighting, chair covers, even the flowers! Maybe find a crafty friend to help you with your centerpieces.
08/21/2021 Got our venue, photographer, videographer, Dj. Everything else is pending. Planning the bachelorette party for April for now but it’s so hard to book and confirm EVERYTHING especially with this pandemic. New York is having parties be done by a certain time and I’m really hoping it’s not like that next year. If that’s the case, everything will have to be shifted and that’s another headache that I definitely don’t want to deal with.
