Hi everyone! We post pined our December 26th 2020 wedding to August 2021. I’m just wondering how wedding planning has been going for August brides 🎉🍾❤️🥂
I said "yes" at the beginning of our family vacation this last July. Once we got back, I jumped (got pushed by my mother is more like it) to start the planning process. I got my fiancé to settle on a wedding date that wasn't 2025 two days prior to the year out mark. The date was picked more due to availability of the photographer and DJ/wedding coordinator than anything else as we have chosen to due it in our back acre of property. I have my two vendors I am using picked out, signed, and deposits paid! The rest of it is up to the groom and I. We plan on doing our own food and the decor (we have plenty of time to make it, and set up). I am struggling on my theme which is holding me back on invitations and save the dates. I like the ring of 'I Do, BBQ', but my decor is going to be a lot classier than that. So then its "Let the Adventure Begin", but we've already been on the adventure for over 4 years by the time the wedding hits, so does it really begin there?

I just said “Yes” and I feel like an August date is most likely for us. I have zero clue how to plan or what to plan. To the point where 2022 sounds better and better by the minute 😞
Hi everyone! 08/21/2021 over here. I have booked a venue, photographer, wedding planner, got my dress, we agreed on wedding cake, reserved room blocks. Working on sending out save the dates and invites. Just having a hard time deciding my maid of honor.
It is going great for us. We rented a beach house and are having it there. We plan on 100 guests but we know that it could change with Covid but at least we will be able to "rent" the other units in the house and cut the guest list down if needed without having to change the venue or cancel the venue.
Going to my 1st dress shopping appointment this weekend! excited but self conscious about it because of this covid weight gain... hoping I can find something i can envision a few lbs lighter by august.
We’re getting married August 13, 2021 and planning has been super slow. I got my dress a month after we got engaged, and nothing else is done besides deciding on a venue, but haven’t actually booked it yet. Because of Covid, we’re trying to have it as small as possible, but still have our loved ones there. I still want it even smaller than it is now, literally just parents, his sister, my sister, my cousin who’s walking me down the aisle, his grandpa, my grandparents and our children, and his groomsmen of course. But when you plan a wedding you have to think about not hurting anyone’s feelings which is extremely difficult for me, so it’s been hard. We have our bridesmaids and groomsmen picked out, we aren’t having a traditional reception, just dinner at his parents afterwards with all of the family and that’s it, but everything else, we haven’t done yet.
Booked our venue in June! Got my dress in June! Sent out all save the dates! Talked to vendor about food booking next month! Photographer is booked! Got most big stuff done! Booking our honeymoon soon!
Really interested to hear what August 2021 brides are thinking as far as COVID and guest attendance. I feel like there is such a slim possibility of having a wedding with our 350 guest list. The more I think about everything, the more we are leaning towards doing a wedding in maybe May-July 2021 with anywhere between 16-50 people of immediate family (and bridal party) and having a big party in August 2021 if that's even possible with whoever wants to come.
What are you all thinking about the pandemic and next August?

That actually wouldn’t be too bad I was thinking the same thing limiting guess and moving it up but then I also was like I’m so lazy to plan another event after and so tedious I rather wait until August when I think everything may be blown over at least a tad bit more and get it all done in one celebration either way it goes as long as we officially say yes and safely that’s all that matters

I definitely have an a lot of them seem to not be so bad only thing is we know a lot of Business owners who kind of do most of what’s included so when we think about what else there including kind of saying we don’t really need it but it does make everything so much easier some are a bit pricey
August 27th, 2021 bride here! Planning is going good I am lucky that we decided to ambitious right after we got engaged last October and that i have an older sister who just got married a month before my engagement so she really pushed us to do a lot of everything early on! We have the venue, florist, DJ, photographer, videographer, hotel block, florist, officiant, makeup artist, cake, bridesmaid dresses, and my dress! We just sent save the dates out after our engagement shoot over the summer and are now just focusing on the last few items!
We were meant to get married August 2020 but postponed to August 2021, but am a bit nervous as it's a destination wedding. Hard to get excited after having to postpone once already and worried about the unknown :/
August 28, 2021! I have my dress, bridal party, venue is booked, photographer, videographer, and dj are booked, honeymoon is booked. Just got the save the dates but haven't sent them out yet. Still have to pick grooms/groomsmen attire, book florist and cake, and hotel block. Planning is going good, but really hoping COVID is under control by then and doesn't mess up our plans!
August 7th 2021 bride over here! Honestly we have our big things finalized, but we are currently looking into postponing our wedding due to everything! Projections are looking rough for August... is anyone else thinking about postponing their wedding?
