At what point do you do the father/daughter and mother/son dances?

MRS_Mikec, on June 16, 2014 at 11:02 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

Trying to figure this out. Our reception goes from about 7:30-midnight. Our first dance will be at 7:45 to encourage guests to move from one room to another. I am thinking the father/daughter and mother/son dances would be good about 1 hour later. Problem is I also have an anniversary dance I want to fit in somewhere and I don't want it to be too late in the evening. Would maybe the anniversary dance go well right after our first dance? and then an hour later the father/daughter and mother/son?

We did our father/daughter and mother/son dance first thing to start off the dancing after our first dance. The DJ then invited all the bridal party out for about a minute, then told everyone else to join.

Usually the dances happen immediately following the first dance. I think the anniversary dance should be the one that happens an hour later.

We did our father/daughter directly after our first dance, and he father/daughter led into the mother/son. I agree with Melissa, put the anniversary dance later on in the night.
