Are you serving soda at your reception?

Heather, on March 7, 2016 at 9:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 46

I'm not sure if we need it or not... Our drink menu includes water, iced tea, lemonade, wine, beer, pina coladas, and strawberry daiquiris. I feel like it'd be nice to have, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost. What do you think?

Are you serving soda?

With ice tea and lemonade, I wouldn't think so.

We served apple cider, hot mulled cider and had soda along with beer/wine. Oddly enough most people drank the ciders and soda....it was an afternoon wedding.

I'm not a soda drinker, but people who like their cokes and soda pop - REALLY like their cokes and soda pop.

I would absolutely include it for your guests.

We are having soda (3 or 4 types),water, 4 wines, and 5 or 6 beers..... I think it also depends on your guest list. Are you have people who typically drink alcohol?

We are...mainly as mix but like Kristy said there are some die hard soda drinkers. My mom being one of them. She also doesn't drink alcohol so it's important for us to make sure she has her diet coke!

In my experience most people do not serve soda at their weddings. Honestly I'm a diet coke freak and I usually bring it to family dinners because no one else drinks it. That being said, every other wedding I've been to did not have soda. It wasn't a big deal for me- I just chose something else. We are doing tea and lemonade pre-done in mason jars and glass bottle sodas in addition to the glass bottles of beer all on ice in a large trough. I personally want diet coke and my dads family hates tea so they will want soda. The glass bottles also tie into our rustic theme though.

Same as PP, it comes with the bar.

That reminds me that I need to ask if they supply juice and milk or if I can bring it.

To me I think you will be covered with your other non alcoholic drinks. We will be having water, lemonade and possibly hot apple cider.

What type of soda do you have? For example our venue did Pepsi products. My family isn't big soda drinkers but DHs parents are... But they're Coke fans Smiley sad

Yep, we are going to do a few different kinds. We can bring our own, so that is nice. FH has a particular kind he has trouble finding to be the "feature" but there will be regular brands as well.

We're having Coke and Pepsi products. Half the guests like Pepsi, the other half are die-hard Coke drinkers.

Yes, the main reason being jack/jameson and Coke is one of the featured drinks.

Plus my blushing bride signature drink needs Sprite.
