Are you serving soda at your reception?

I'm not sure if we need it or not... Our drink menu includes water, iced tea, lemonade, wine, beer, pina coladas, and strawberry daiquiris. I feel like it'd be nice to have, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost. What do you think? Are you serving soda?

I hate soda. I only drink my calories if there is alcohol involved. Even then I don't mix with soda. For me your other options are great. It's not like you are serving nothing for people who don't drink.

I would say as a diabetic it would bum me out not to have diet pop at a wedding. So many carbs in all those other beverages - I never drink regular things if I can avoid it.

We did. We wanted to make both diet and regular drinks available.

It comes included with the catering package, so yes. I'd pay extra for it, though.

I never even thought of this lol. There aren't a lot of soda drinkers in our families.

I think it would depend on your guests. I went to a wedding that ONLY had soda once lol (it was also dry, which I normally wouldn't have cared about), not even water, so I'd be relieved that you even have water! You have so many options available, but as PPs have said if your guest list has some people that really need their soda, then I would consider providing it just in case. Smiley smile

Yep! You know how most people leave early if there's no booze. I have family members who are like that with soda. I don't think half my cousins would make it through the soup without a diet coke.

I'm going to say it's a know your crowd thing. Every wedding I have been to has had Coke (soda pop what ever you say Smiley winking ) and it's really weird for me to attend a wedding that doesn't offer it.

I went to one who only did lemonade water and tea (no alcohol) the tea and lemonade were terrible. Highly disappointed

Soda Is included in the bar with our venue. Another thing to think about- are you inviting kids? They might like soda.

Yes. It was included in our open bar package but we would have had it anyway.

Even with beer and wine...a merloke (calimocho) is a thing. Not a common thing, but a thing!

We're having soda as it comes with the bar package.

ETA- we're also having whiskey so some might want to mix it with soda.

We did for non-drinkers an for mixed drinks. Not everyone is a fan of sweet tea, lemonade or coffee and we thought it'd be great for them to have an option other than water. Plus since we went with a full open bar we knew people would want some to mix for drinks.

ETA: We also had a few diabetic guests so we wanted to make sure that we had diet options available due to the carb count in the others.
