Are you having your hair up or down??

Glam0rous, on October 29, 2015 at 11:25 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 53

I have really long hair so I really want to have my hair down. After looking at some gorgeous updo's, now I'm not really sure what I want to do. Both looks are so gorgeous but I always feel like having my hair down is more flattering for myself as I rarely ever wear my hair down.

What are your plans for hair? Or what did you have for your big day? Why did you choose up/down? I need some inspiration.

I'm going with some sort of down style since down is more flattering for me. I'd say go with whatever style works best for you.

Half and half FH loves my hair down, I hate it in my face. Best of both worlds :-)

This is the question I have a hard time answering. I think down for my ceremony gown and I'm going to pull it back for my reception gown. I think having my hair down with my strapless dress will be pretty and I want to pull it because my reception gown has a lot of detail on the back. Here are my two inspirations!

I am going with hair up, since my dress has details in the back that I want to show off!

I'm leaning towards an up-do since our ceremony will be on the beach (may be breezy) AND I feel like having it up will keep me as cool as possible (I'm in FL).

I don't want my hair on my neck making me hot and sweaty. The dress I want also has gorgeous back detail. This is what I'm hoping to do.

I'm going to do an updo. I have really thick hair that doesn't hold anything well, so if I try to do any down do with curls or anything it'll be flat by the end of the night.

I have long hair too and I'm doing half up half down hairstyle just to keep it out of my face. You need to remember these pictures will be around for a long time so you still need to look at it and see you in it. You need to do a look that is flattering and still looks like you!

I'm going for an updo... Outside in Jul, in formal wear sounds hot to me. This is what I'm going to be going for...

I am thinking of doing a half up/ half down style. That way my hair is off my face, but you can still see the length of my hair. I love my long hair!

Keep in mind that wearing your hair down can make it more difficult to hold the style. My friend recently got married and her hair holds curl really well, but by the middle of the reception her half-half do was already stringy and lacking curl. I think for this reason I will go all up (but soft around the face). That being said, it's your day, so wear your hair in whichever way you think is most flattering and makes you feel most beautiful.

I was actually about to post something like this. FH loves my hair down, and has asked (somewhat teasing, joking) that I wear my hair down on the wedding day. However, the back of my dress is SWEET, and I don't want to cover it with hair. So I'm doing a low side updo. I hope he likes it :/

JP, DH also loooooves my hair down, but I wanted to show off the back. Solution.... it was down but you can still see my entire back, and it's off my neck:

M - I considered something like that, but I don't think my hair is long enough to pull it off! I know I could do extensions, but that really isn't me. Plus, I've already had my trial, and if I change it now I feel like I'd need another.

Sooo basically I'm kind of lazy and FH will just have to like the updo haha.

Yeah my hair is past my boobs and after being styled it looked SO short.... most of these hair models have Rapunzel hair or extensions... it's amazing how much you need.
