His parents are hosting the rehearsal dinner as well as our wedding at their house. I am having the hardest time figuring out what would be an approipriate thank you gift. Grandkids are completely out of the question lol. Help?

I always look for something personal. Example: a spa day for her and a golf day for him. Based on whatever their interests are. Or a joint outing like in California we have these "wine trains " where you buy a ticket and ride it through wine country, stopping at wineries along the way.
As long as you put some thought into it, and what they would really like, it will be a lovely gift.
