Anyone having their Wedding and Birthday in the same month?

* Gin, on January 28, 2012 at 4:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 25

So we are planning for an April 2013 wedding, which just so happens to be my 30th Birthday on the 12th. Undecided on weather or not to set the date BEFORE or AFTER my Birthday. I'd like to have a 30th Bday bash but i don't want to incorporate it with my wedding. Anyone else having a birthday close to their wedding and especially a milestone Birthday? How are you celebrating both?

Please share Smiley smile

Ginny, mine won't be in the same month, but 15 days after we get married will be my 40th birthday. I'm thinking that the wedding & cruise (we are getting married on a cruise) will be my early 40th birthday bash! Now that you said something.... I am thinking maybe I should have a big 40th birthday party as the 'at home reception' for those that couldn't (or didn't) get invited to the cruise.... LOL

Our wedding is March 31st and my birthday is April 5th. Not the same month - but within 5 days of each other Smiley smile Mine's not really a milestone birthday (25) but it is to me because I will be a quarter of a century old Smiley smile FH has something planned for me at the end of April to celebrate but suggested to my mom that someone says something at the wedding in order to kind of celebrate with our out of town guests. I think it's strange, but whatever Smiley smile

Absolutely not! I refused to have my wedding anywhere near my birthday. I was born in mid November, which is actually quite close to Christmas. This stunk growing up because it seemed like you got tons of presents all at once and then all of a sudden you had to wait another year for any new toys you wanted. Obviously I have different motivations for choosing our wedding month. I wanted to spread out the special occassions. I wanted a special day during the summer because it's my favorite time of year. We're getting married in May.

My grandmother got married on her birthday 54 years ago. I've never heard her complain, but that's not in her nature. If anything, I think the anniversary gets overshadowed, not her birthday.

Mines about a month a part. We're getting married in April and my birthday is in May. Which works out perfectly because my license expires on my birthday. So it works out perfectly. I don't think we're doing anything special because I'll only be 29. Next year maybe,

My birthday is June 28th and the wedding was July 16th. For me, it didn't matter at all. We always just go out for dinner, birthdays haven't seemed like a big deal since I was about 12.

Our wedding is 8/4 and my birthday is 8/27. I will be 35. If anything we might get together with family and friends...nothing big...

We are getting married 5/19 and my 30th birthday is 5/29! i LOVE celebrating birthdays, especially mine, i tend to celebrate the entire month. However, with the wedding so close to my birthday and having a larger wedding, we are opting for a smaller getaway just FH and I for my birthday this year. At least - that's what he tells me - he is full of surprises, and I've let him take on planning my birthday.

I turned 56 on my wedding day. But then again, I skipped the birthday bash and just focused on the wedding.

FH will be 35 on 5/10, so 5 days after the wedding.

Technically, no, the wedding and my birthday are two seperate months BUT they are like 2 weeks apart from eachother.. haha.. we'll be celebrating our anniversary on our actual married date (01/05/2012) which is the actual anniversary of our relationship... Smiley smile We may go out to dinner on our September date, for fun, but my birthday is more important. ;P

My fiances 21st first birthday is 4 days before our wedding. We look at them as two separate things so...we are celebrating his birthday together on his birthday and our wedding a few days later. We aren't doing anything crazy like partying because neither on of us parties or drinks but we will do something for his birthday.

Not our Bdays. I could not imagine mixing those two occasions but there are Bdays...

My mom's mom, grandma's Bday is April 12th

My parents wedding anniversay is April 24th

MY MOH's bday is April 25th.

I would like to do somehting to make my Grandma feel special. I know wedding stuff is gonna get crazy around that time.

also I'd like to make some sort of announcement at the wedding about mY parents anniversary since they are the reason I want my wedding in April to begin with

Not sure about MOH's bday..Probably just do something special with her on her BDay.

It's nice to see everyone's responses and know that there are many birthdays close to wedding dates.

@Jill C- We always celebrate my birthday BIG too- the month of Ginny for as long as I can remember. Love it!

@Kyla S- Birthday twin! I share it with my best friend & sister (I am not a twin, she's actually 22 years older than me) as well-crazy huh?

My birthday is April 25th and wedding is May 5th. It's not a milestone birthday but I'm wondering if my bridal party and mom plan to tie my birthday and bridal shower together.
