Any 2021 Brides devising plan B?

April, on May 6, 2020 at 11:44 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
We’re planning a July 2021 wedding, have booked the hall and a few other vendors, in light of the worlds uncertain situation have wondered how many businesses may or not be around when things start to open up. Michigan here, has anyone else started to ponder a plan B just in case?

We changed the wedding to an elopement, cut our list to just our closest family (30-40 people total), and are moving towards a casual reception afterwards.

Ours is April 2021 and if things aren’t better by October of this year we are planning on eloping. 💕 Either way we get married so I’m looking forward to it either way.

I completely agree with you.... We are getting married even if it’s just us, two witnesses, an officiant, and the photographer. I’d love to have a small wedding with family, but if that’s not possible, the party can wait.
Ultimately, the fiancé and I will be together for four years (living together for three) this year. We had already unofficially discussed with our families about getting married a year ago... but COVID-19 put a halt to all the engagement stuff.

    Hi April,

July 2021 is a while from now. However, in my opinion, it never hurts to consider a plan B. In doing so, you'll determine your top priorities for the wedding anyway. Win-win!

Right now, it looks like some 2021 couples are still planning, and others are taking a break. You'll find some articles with planning information and recommendations in Our COVID-19 Weddings Advice Guide, including:
