Amazon and rings?

Hey everybody! So, FH and I aren't really in a good place to spend 100+ on an engagment ring for me right now but FH says he feels horrible for me not having a ring. So a friend of ours suggested getting cheap rings off of Amazon. Has anybody else done this or heard of anybody else doing this?

Just goes to show that money doesn't buy class... and that expensive doesn't automatically means beautiful when it comes to rings.

ETA: OP, we got my e ring on Etsy and are super happy with it.

Wow this thread certainly took a turn.

I personally dgaf how much someone spent on their ring, or whether I find it attractive or worth the price. People who have the wealth to afford expensive things don't feel the need to broadcast it, so i think that behavior speaks for itself...

Aaaaaanyway, back to OP. I think you've already gotten some really good ideas of places to look for less expensive but still beautiful and special rings. I've seen a lot of really beautiful sets on etsy. I found a band I really liked but we decided to get a band to match my e-ring instead. Good luck!

Sorry if this was mentioned, I didn't read every comment, but if you're okay with synthetic diamonds, Etsy has AMAZING engagement rings at incredibly affordable prices. Easy on the bank, and good for the environment!

Anyone watch the real housewives of New York? I literally have Countess Luann' s song in my head ' Money can't buy you class'

@op I recommend Etsy! FH paid less than $200 for my engagement ring and it's beautiful! Just be sure to scour reviews before you buy anything online, no matter where you get it from.

OP I also wanted to mention that Helzberg Diamonds (an AGS certified jewelry store) has a cool line called Diamonvita. I have a few cocktail rings, tennis bracelet, and earrings from their line and they are really nice quality. They also have those repair plans a lot of chains do, except you don't have to schlep over every six months for your inspection for fear they will invalidate the plan. This way if anything happens to your ring you are set! There's also a coupon for adding your email address and such
