Amazon and rings?

Kat2Gross, on September 13, 2017 at 9:39 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 88

Hey everybody!

So, FH and I aren't really in a good place to spend 100+ on an engagment ring for me right now but FH says he feels horrible for me not having a ring. So a friend of ours suggested getting cheap rings off of Amazon. Has anybody else done this or heard of anybody else doing this?

I got my FH a wedding band from Amazon. He really likes it. The maker is King Will. I'm not sure if they make women's rings.

I've seen some of the exact same designs on Jeulia on Wish.com. They are screaming cheap but they really are cute.

And they take forever to get here, lol....

Just be sure to read reviews and get sterling silver base metal bc most of the gold plated jewelry will eventually wear off the gold plating but if it's ss underneath it won't turn your finger

Swarovski! They actually have some nice quality rings for under $100. We also bought my FH wedding band on Amazon and he says its the best $18 he's ever spent!

    https://www.swarovski.com/Web_US/en/5251685/product/Fresh_Ring.html $69

Etsy. We got my wedding band at Swarovski (crystals) and it looks good. Also overstock Is good. You can also just google what you're looking for and see what comes up on google shopping, that's how I found my husbands ring.

Sounds crazy, but my friend got hers at a pawn shop. It is this amazing art deco piece that cost them just a couple hundred bucks. She loves it. People are constantly pawning rings for one reason or another and 90% of them never buy them back.

The ring I wear now is a little art deco piece I got at a vintage jewelry shop for $175 with sizing included. It can't match the beauty of what my e-ring was, but I love it none the less.

Maybe I'm just high maintenance, my wedding band was 3k and my e-ring 8k, to be fair I paid for half because FH thought it was a lot, but I don't see the point in replacing it in the future or having a placeholder. I don't like cheap.

My FH and I are looking for wedding bands on Amazon we haven't picked yet but the reviews and pictures definitely help. We are also looking at other online shops as well. We are staying under $100 each ring. No need to pay more we think.
