Advice on how many sodas, what types and how many of each for a 85 person wedding???

Hi,

Getting married in 9 days (ahhh!) and I am trying to figure out what to buy for sodas. It will be an evening wedding and we will be serving only beer and wine for alcohol. So we won't need any soda for mixed drinks. There will only be around 10 children under age.

We know we want to buy cans for sure and will probably be shopping at Costco. My family is more of a Coke versus Pepsi family as well

Also, we will be serving lemonade in one of those cute dispensers. Can you please add in how much lemonade you think I should buy as well? Do you suggest the powdered mix or lemonade already made???

So many questions, please help!

Are you having bartenders? If so Yes buy the powder they can continue to make it. (I have had to do this 100's of times lol) As for pop. Depending on how long your reception is. Honestly you would do better with 2 liters as there won't be as much waste. Normally you would figure 2 cans per person. I would say 200 cans to be safe. Or 20 2 liters. You could also make sangrias in those containers. (Wine and fruit) and have the bartender add some sprite or 7up to it prior to reception Hope this helps.

I would have at least two dark drinks and one yellow and one white. Example: Coke, Dr.Pepper, Mellow Yellow, and Sprite. Check the local paper for sale ads! I would say 20 12packs. What you don't use, you can always use later. With 2-liters, once they're opened they go flat. The left cans can be put in a cooler on the drive to your honeymoon.
