Advice Needed: International Guests and Coronavirus

Nicholas, on February 26, 2020 at 1:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 2
Hello All, my fiance and I are getting married in April in Miami Florida and his parents will be visiting from the Philippines. While we have planned out, to the best of our ability the wedding details, the corona virus appears to be spreading very rapidly to the point we have our guests asking what our plan B will be. With that being said has anyone had experience with Wedding Insurance that would cover cancellations either due to the main parents unable to attend due to travel restrictions or guests unable to attend due to a "pandemic"?

I would reach out to your vendors ASAP and understand what your options are in the event you need to postpone.

Hey there, Nicholas. Do you have wedding insurance already? With the wedding 1 month away, it may be too late to take a policy out at this point to cover any fees associated with canceling or postponing due to the virus. WedSafe seems to be the most popular wedding insurance provider. I’d recommend reaching out to them ASAP to see what your options are.
