So I was walking down the stairs last night and my feet went out from under me. I caught myself with my ankle and just found out the fibula and tibia are broken. The fibula is completely separated but the tibia is still together. My wedding is 7 weeks from this Friday, does anyone else on here have experience with broken bones? I don't want to walk down the aisle in a cast. Smiley sad

Oh no! I feel so bad for you! Might make for an interesting walk down the aisle if you are still in a cast, but will make for an interesting story years from now when you can laugh about it.

OMG I'm so sorry! Hopefully you'll recover quickly!

Maybe this will turn into a funny story down the road though. I have a friend whose husband broke his leg the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding. Talk about bad timing. They laugh about it all the time though.

I am SO sorry to hear that!!

12 week out from my wedding I sprained and fractured my ankle. Damage to 7 ligaments and 2 tendons. 1 month in a moon boot, 2 weeks in flat shoes, and I am now getting closer to wearing wedges. I have changed my wedding shoes to be on the safe side.

I know it sucks, but just remember that its about you and him, and starting you life together on your wedding day, regardless of the condition you are in.

Good luck and don't push yourself to get better quickly. You'll just make it worse!

I have never broken my leg. I broke my spine in 4 places and was on bed rest for 3 months and then had to learn to walk again. I know its not the same but I wish you a speedy recovery so you can walk down the isle without a cast.

I had the same bones plus ankle break 7 or so years ago, the good news, it's an easy break to fix. However, you may just be getting out of your cast the week before and still need crutches to get around. Just take it easy and don't stress yourself out, everything will work out in the end. You are after all marrying the man of your dreams and he probably doesn't care if you can walk or not, so long as your there.

Oh, I'm so sorry! If you have surgery, you will definitely be in a cast for awhile. In that case, just bling out your cast and do the best you canSmiley smile
