4/3/2020 Wedding Covid-19

We haven’t fully decided if we will post pone our wedding yet or not. we live in texas and it’s not too bad here and we were hoping it would get better by our date in 17 days but now we’re not sure bc a lot of our guests have cancelled :-( we were suppose to have 150 guests and now only like 50 say they’re still down to come. our venue says since the city hasn’t required them to close or lower the amount of people that it’s up to us if we want to continue or they’ll let us reschedule. we were just going to say screw it and have a smaller wedding now bc we really didn’t want to change the date but now it just feels selfish to go on with the wedding and not have a lot of our guests there anymore. we’re so devastated and i’ve cried so much today and these past few days. any advise on what to do or just some words of encouragement in this difficult time would be so wonderful❤️

Aw first off I’m so sorry. I can only imagine how hard the decision would even be and how much you’ve already put into this. You might not wanna hear this but it would be best to postpone :/ especially if people you want there can’t be and if people would just be uncomfortable or worried. gatherings for the next few weeks should be postponed.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this Maddie! It's heartbreaking! Right now I feel like it's really difficult to make any kind of short term plans, given how quickly local situations and guidelines seem to be changing.

Thanks for sharing your update Maddie! Has rescheduling given you any sense of relief?? I'm sure August feels really far away right now, but at least you're giving a long timeline for this current crisis to hopefully clear up!
