Hello everyone, how much are you all spending on invitations? Is $400 reasonable if it includes pre-printed envelopes?

I paid $215 for 40 invites, but I used the WPD Groupon so actually only spent $115.

Holy fuckers @Bea and @Jo! Oh man, I need to rethink these invites. With 170 guests I'm screwed - I'm looking at minimum 85 invites!

That's pretty steep for an invitation suite. I got mine from an Etsy vendor: $200 for 80 invitations, high-quality specialty cardstock with beveled borders and colored trim. And we only spent that much because it was almost the same cost as DIY printing kits from the craft store.

If you're ok with flat cardstock, get them from Vistaprint or similar. There is NO reason to spend that much for invitations.

I spent $346 for 175 invitations, with return address preprinted on the envelope, rsvp cards with preprinted envelopes from theamercanwedding.com

Hm, I'm in Baltimore and paid 220 for 55 sets of save the dates, invitations, rsvp cards, addressed envelops, 10 table numbers, and name cards.

The $75 that Helen spent was probably on postage, paper, envelopes, stamps, ink, etc. Great job Helen!

I paid close to $600 for my set. Layered invitations, envelopes, RSVP cards and pre-addressed envelopes, inserts, STDs with envelopes, thank you cards with envelopes. I ordered 75 of everything, except my thank yous (I ordered 100, because I can use them for other things). These were a fully custom set from a designer on etsy.

For the welcome dinner, I ordered 60 invites with envelopes for $40 on sale. Those weren't as important to us.

I spent roughly that much. It was more than I originally wanted to spend. But I couldn't find a design I really loved. And I knew I didn't want to print them myself. The address printing sealed the deal for me. It saved a bunch of time, when I didn't have time to spare.

We're using walmart stationary and I actually really love some of their options. It's about 99 cents per card so we're spending around $120 total for rsvps cards, invites and STD's. ETA: there's another option for fancier cards for $1.99 each and I think that might include preprinted envelopes

I used minted too but only paid $200 for 50, and I kinda thought that was too much! Definitely wait for a coupon! Their pre-printing the address part really makes life easier, though!

For my budget I would not be able to afford that. I'm getting STD and invites for $55. That is 40 of each so 80 total

That's about what we paid for Minted as well. The pre-printing envelopes was key! For our STD's, we printed the envelopes ourselves - and bc of our printer, we had to load and print each envelope individually.

I spent about $100 for 80. This includes my address stamp, design off etsy, cutter and printing supplies and envelopes. Used heavy cardstock and used a cutter for them myself. Online rsvp so only needed invite and details card.

I do want to point out there is nothing wrong with looking at a bunch of designs and basing yours off them or using them as inspiration. That is not copyright infringement. If they traced the design, then yes.
