Who else is getting married in 2+ years? How much planning have you actually done so far? I’m getting married on December 31, 2020 and I feel so lost with planning (or even getting all of my ideas straight) since my wedding is so far away. Anyone else feeling this way?

We are planning a May 2020 wedding. Right now we have our venue, DJ, photographer and wedding party picked. We will be making deposits in Oct 2018 so whatever date (during the week) is available in May is going to be the date of our wedding! We said we would start looking at colors and other details once all deposits are made and we get into 2019 good. I too am a simple yet classy bride so trends are not part of my planning.....in essence if i like it that’s what we are going with !! LoL

We’re getting married September 19, 2020 and have our venue in Nashville picked out. The venue includes everything besides the cake, florals, photo, and video.

I'm getting married May 8, 2020 and so far we have booked our venue, bought my dress (early but takes 8 months to come in and it was THE ONE so why wait), decided on the wedding party, photographer and put together a preliminary guest list. The first thing we did was put together a budget of where we wanted to stay around so that way when we started looking we had an idea of what we were going to be able to afford.

Something that we also did was put together a list of the approved vendors from our venue and started calling some of the caterers to get an idea on pricing.

Oh and it is never to early to start purchasing some decorations. We have started collecting some items here and there that go on sale and store them. Other than that, we haven't officially booked any vendors as they won't typically put you on their calendar that early. I'd suggest putting together some Pinterest boards so you get kind of an idea of what theme you are wanting.

Hi! I’m getting married May 30,2020! So far we booked our ceremony site and reception venue, along with DJ and photographer! I feel lost with the rest! :/ I hope it gets easier closer to! I have so many ideas but it’s so far out I can’t pursue any!

So good to know i am not the only one who has started the planning process 2 years out lol. I am getting married 7/2/20 and we already have the venue booked, wedding party down, dress is bought, guest list together, colors and vibe for the big day already narrowed down, and now just trying to decide if we should hire a florist or do the centerpieces myself.

I dont know much much about how much things should cost so i started a spreadsheet and priced things out of i were to do it all myself so i would have something to compare it to. That has definitely been my go to tool besides WeddingWire. Luckily we have so much time that we can start buying the smaller items/ decor at random and store it away.

Mu my fiancé is a videographer and music engineer so his only job is going to be picking out the photographer/ videographer and dj. Hopefully he can work his connections and we can get a discount!

If you feel you have found THE ONE just buy it! Our wedding is in 2020 as well and i already bought my dress. And because it was an older style and i went on a day they had the trunk show i got it for a really good price including some pre-ordered customizing.

    I really wanted 6/20/2020, but if I can't get that I'll settle for 8/8/2020.

I've had a pinterest for about a year prior to our engagement. I had my colors picked out before I started dating my fiance 4 years ago, so I lucked out when he told me his favorite color was one of my wedding colors Smiley laugh (the other was my favorite color, so it's like kismet). I have people lined up for hair and flowers (my hair stylist/friend and former coworker).

Currently trying to find the perfect venue so we can get our date set.

Fiance wants to make his own playlists for the whole 6-8 hours from pre-ceremony through reception, which I'm fine with as long as he finds someone to emcee announcements and start the playlists.

We know exactly what food we want to serve, but it depends if we have to find a vendor or if we can work with a venue to do it. One of our friends' family runs a bakery, so we're hoping they can help us with the cake and dessert bar.

We did our preliminary guest list about a year ago and are starting to fill in the addresses to make STDs and invitations easier.

Fiance already has his groomsmen and groomswoman set for 7 total, but could do 9 if I did more. I have my MOH, 3 maids, and a bridesman. Waffling between 4 others, including FSIL.

Everything else needs to be done though.

We're planning on getting married on October 20,2020. We just got engaged in August. I've picked my bridal party already. It's just family plus my FSIL so nothing will change. I just have to ask them which I'm planning on doing so soon. We've been busy so far the past couple months. We're planning on visiting venues soon. We just want to lock that down then start planning everything else. I'm so excited!

I’m feeling the same and omg being compared to people with shorter engagements is awful. We are doing our venue early because I found my dream place. Other then that we are planning an engagement party and then start planning hard core in April or may of next year. The date is October 17 2020

October 31, 2020! We've only gotten our venue booked, but we've figured out theme and color scheme as well. I'm also planning on doing a lot of DIY stuff for the wedding, so I've bought some things now, to work on in my free time. That way I'm not swamped right before the wedding.

I feel so so lost with planning! I’m getting married April 1, 2020. I don’t know if I’m supposed to have everything on lock, or if it’s okay that we only have the day and colors set. We haven’t even had an engagement party because the wedding feels so far away.

We’re getting married September 6, 2020. So far the only thing set and stone is the venue which we dropped off our deposit for last week. I need to look into photography, and a DJ. I’ve also been trying to narrow down my list of color schemes. Does anyone know where I can find champagne colored tuxedos to purchase or to rent? I’ll attach a picture of what I’m looking for.
