Who else is getting married in 2+ years? How much planning have you actually done so far? I’m getting married on December 31, 2020 and I feel so lost with planning (or even getting all of my ideas straight) since my wedding is so far away. Anyone else feeling this way?

My wedding is possibly June 20, 2020. I am trying to plan as much as possible but it’s so hard to get anything done since it’s so far away. Most places I want to book didn’t even open their 2020 calendar yet. So I’m basically just looking at the possible prices for everything and next year I can start booking venues and vendors. But so far it has been a bit overwhelming and confusing. But over time I will get it together. I don’t plan on having a wedding planner as of now.

That's awesome, seems like you have the big ones checked off your list! A long engagement can be nice sometimes, that way you can spread things out payment wise! If you need any help with the color scheme at all let me know, I'd be happy to help! Smiley smile

It can be hard, because you want to space things out but also want to cross things off the list! Have you checked out our checklist tool? It has everything paced out based on your wedding date! I'll link it below!

That can always be a challenge, waiting for vendors and venues to open up their calendars! Hoping you get the June 20th date once they open up! What kinds of venues have you been looking at?

I have been engaged for 6 months and haven’t planned a single thing. We have a tentative date, but discussing a budget over Christmas seems tacky. Also, I’m unsure how to bring it up. I’m just trying to live in the moment and enjoy the engagement.

That's so exciting!! Securing the venue is one of the biggest things to check off! What type of style venue is it?

We're getting married June 13, 2020! We got engaged august 2018 and both knew we wanted an early summer wedding, so planning one for 2019 would have just been too much too soon for us. So far we have absolutely no regrets! More time for us to save up, our families to save up, and time to research honeymoon destinations. We have our date picked, venue booked, wedding colors chosen, and our bridal party picked out but we haven't asked yet (we read that it's better to wait a little longer just in case). We're taking a planning break for the holidays so now I'm just pinning wedding dress inspiration and DIY ideas to keep me excited Smiley smile

I'm getting married October 10, 2020. All we have done so far is picked the date/venue and talked to a photographer and DJ. We don't want to do too much now since it's still far away and we are saving more money.

We just booked ours in May 2020 and I feel like I'm starting too early in the planning area, but I've received calls back from vendors who are already booked up to June 2020!

Plenty of time is good to get things in order and to move things gradually, I think.

It's coming up soon, 2018 is practically over!

    Congrats Brides!

Ours originally was October 19, 2019, however I was recently laid off, and my FH and I are paying for our wedding ourselves. So we made the decision to push back our date to now April 25, 2019. Kinda special, since my birthday is the week before (April 20) and by then our 4 year anniversary would have been the 28th. Also I looove Spring!!

I'm getting married on May 16, 2020. I have chosen my colors of the wedding. We also have a lovely venue. We finally decided on how many going in the wedding. It might seem like we have it down pack. But we have some much more to do. I 'm so excited to marry the man of my dream.💜

Set the date for 8/8/2020. just booked the venue! That's as far as I've gotten so far lol. Next on the list is the wedding website, researching hotel room blocks, and registering. Congrats to all the 2020 brides!
