My fiance and i have been engaged for just over 6 years. We're combining our family backgrounds which are: Latin-Persian and German-Irish. Even though many of our family members do not approve of our union, to us what's so much more important is to have these things for each other: Open Communications, Share equal respondsability, Treat each others as human beings, trust each other,

We're going to do something called the LASSO. It's where a rope is twisted to make the hour glass figure. Both Bride and Groom are wrapped around with one hoop of the lasso and are recognized as 1 person! It's where 2 complete single individuals make the choice to join together and live their lives together as 1! Once the Lasso is applied, the new couple is to walk together out of the ceremony as 1, to begin their lives together!
Because we're combining 4 different cultures together for our wedding ceremony, we're going to have poster boards of ourselves with photos over the years. Things that we've done and how we've changed over the years. We're also going to have things related to our family members and friends that we've lost along the way too. We're going to have a jar with hearts to be written on for blessings and advice too. We're also going to have colors that represent our school and the causes that we support. Even though it's not going to be what others want or will approve of, it's going to our wedding and it's going to be a reflection of our lives!

My wedding dress: it's an ivory sweetheart A-Line style dress. Very small amount of bling. Following the advice of my Auntie's and Grandmother, less is more. So that's what i went for. I am currently looking for a matching veil and some pearl accessories to complement my entire vision for our wedding day. Because it's going to take place within the next 376 days, i still have a very big time frame. Plus i need to get it adjusted sometime by February o March of next year. So much to do, within so little time!
In many cultures world wide recommend that both individuals who are promised to each other be very proud to wear something that represents the life changing promise that they made to each other until it's time to exchange and vow to one another for life. i have been wearing my promise ring for over 6 yrs! i have only taken it off when it needs to be deeply cleaned. But everyone's different.
At this particular moment, i don't have anyone to take the role of MOH. Just yet. Because we still have over 1 year and 2.5 weeks to go.
