Sandy and Sondra are two of the most thoughtful people I have met to date. Sandy helped coordinate every detail of our 100+ person ceremony and reception at The Gables and did an outstanding job. She is meticulous and cares about every detail to make the day special. Sondra, the owner of the Gables, could not have been more gracious and accommodating in every request we had. Their staff is immpeccable---they were there for every single guest in the most unobstrusive way. The Inn was gorgeous--romantic, beautiful and so well appointed. And our guests had the most amazing dinner and evening. Thank you all for such a great venue and experience. Everyone should plan their event here, it's unique, special and they are amazing to work with.

The Gables was the perfect place to have a wedding. Besides being so incredibly beautiful, The Gables is intimate and romantic and has an ambiance of luxury and grace. Their attention to detail in every area is impeccable. The food is especially notable for the chef's use of the finest ingredients and care in crafting each plate. This was not a mass produced wedding dinner. So many of our guests complimented us on the unique menu and told us that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended.

The food was amazing! Chef Richard and Sandy the Marketing Director helped us create a completely customized menu. When developing a vision for the food we were completely opposed to the dry, boring, unsatisfying American wedding menu, and Chef and his team did not disappoint.
Our family and friends ooohed and aaahhhed all afternoon over the food. "The best crab cakes ever" was said several times by different guests. My husband is Turkish and Chef created some wonderful Turkish inspired dishes which were a hit also. The food enthusiasts attending were thoroughly impressed!
Our wedding was one of the first the Gables hosted after the devastating fire that left this kitchen staff without a kitchen. This wonderful team of chefs and servers were working outside of their comfort zone at another venue, and despite the new environment, they totally nailed it!!!!
We are so happy! I wish we froze a plate of appetizers along with the top layer of our cake.

We had a cocktail hour and then a five course dinner. Everything was perfect. All of the guests said that it was the best food they every had at a wedding. The Gables is beautiful - the atmosphere is romantic and intimate and the service is exceptional. They don't have liquor so we were able to bring our own wine, beer, champagne and martini bar.

It's a great venue for a small or medium wedding - we had about 100 guests.

When a tropical storm forced us to change from having our ceremony in the back garden to taking over most of Sondra's dining area inside, she was helpful, flexible and prompt in helping us change everything at the last minute. No one even knew that was not the original plan because everything was made to look beautiful despite the change in plans and miserable weather. Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and kind and the food for the rehearsal dinner and lunch for the bridesmaids/bride while getting ready was phenomenal, as always!
