Rachel Rowland is the best in the business, and if you don’t know, now you know. (But you probably already know) And she backs it up. (I don’t just mean with her portable speaker while she’s hyping you up on the move catching the most-fun-you’ve-ever-looked-in-your-entire-life.) Her professionalism, her fun-loving attitude, her expert ability to make you smile wider than you ever have before is unmatched. Her process is art. She is so emotionally intelligent that she can read how her couples are feeling and can respond and jump into action to advocate for them. She has a gorgeous vision. She’s a team player, and an excellent communicator. Rachel makes your day even more fun and memorable, which is so huge, because you spend so much time with your photographer on your wedding day that you want them to feel so genuinely close and connected to you – which she does so effortlessly. Rachel is a dream. We constantly hear about how beautiful our wedding and engagement photos are, and every compliment is so true. Rachel was our dream vendor and she delivered in full force even better than we could have ever imagined. Rachel crystallized all of our dreams into forever lasting memories, and we will be forever grateful. -

We had the pleasure of having Rachel Rowland photograph our wedding day! She took my senior year photos and when I got engaged, I knew that I wanted her to photograph my wedding. There is no one else I would trust to capture our day. Rachel makes you feel at home, comfortable, and allows you to focus on all the important moments without the stress. Her photos are incredible and she has a great eye and vision to capture all of your magic. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, know that Rachel is kind, flexible, and all around awesome. Her photo style is unique, it tells a story, and it is FUN! If you are looking for photos that capture the emotion and the essence of your day, look no further. She will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, play some music, and laugh with you. I am an awe of her energy and her passion for the work that she does. Rachel is incredibly easy to communicate with and adds her own personal touch to what she does (a congratulations on your engagement box, a slideshow with music, and photos delivered fast!). She is the best in the business and you will feel like you have a new friend at the end of the day. -

Best in the Business
Throughout my life I have been so drawn to photos and documenting all of life's moments. When I got engaged I knew that finding the perfect photographer was top of my list - I'm so lucky I was able to find Rachel for my special day. Rachel takes amazing photos that capture all the things you experience on your day as well as the things you miss out on so you can catch up on them later. She is so energetic and lovely to be around, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. -

Rachel is hands down the best photographer in Pittsburgh. When it came time for us to select a wedding photographer, we knew within looking at just 2-3 photos that she was the one we wanted. Not only is she incredible at taking and editing photos, but she is also incredible at giving direction and making her photo subjects feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. On top of her talent, Rachel is just an all-around awesome person to be around--she is uplifting, energetic, and such a blast to spend time with. We will forever use her for our professional photo needs. -

Rachel captured our wedding day so beautifully and authentically and was the most fun, enjoyable human ever while doing it. I was genuinely sad when her and her husband had to our wedding leave that night. Aside from marrying my husband and having our closest family and friends there, Rachel was BY FAR the best decision we made.
Our bridal party and families raved about how wonderful she was - individual and group photos were so organized and quick. The way she gets everyone to relax and laugh is just amazing and it really shows through in the photos she captures.
It is so, so clear that Rachel was born to do what she does and loves what she does - she is incredibly talented and so fun to be around.
I am so happy we chose Rachel to capture all the special moment on our wedding day and can't thank her enough for the amazing photos we now have to cherish for the rest of our lives and generations to come. -
Cara Sent on 01/02/2018I met Rachel in college and have been a fan of her photography ever since. She's incredibly talented and somehow manages to capture not only the beauty but also the feeling of each moment. On top of that she does a great job making you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. She didn't waste a moment and got all of the shots on our list (which was extensive). My only regret is that we I wish we had booked her longer!

User2389113 Sent on 10/25/2015Rachel Rowland is not only one of the best photographers I've seen, she's also a super awesome person, and she's a blast to work with! She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and gets some absolutely amazing shots. She's incredibly talented, has an excellent knowledge of great locations around the Pittsburgh area. Don't even bother looking up photos on Pinterest, because she'll take so many awesome photos! I cannot recommend Rachel enough, I feel confident we'll be using her for the rest of our life events! -
User1840449 Sent on 10/01/2014Rachel is amazing! There's really not much else to say, except, I cannot imagine having had anyone else capture our engagement pictures and wedding day. We had a strict budget, but photography was not an area I was willing to compromise on. It was worth every single penny (and it's important to add that her prices are in the same range as most photographers in the area). Our wedding was posted to her blog about a month later and we received our photos about shortly after that on a jump drive. She is a whirlwind of energy and is always smiling. It helps to have her there on the day, because it is hard not to relax when she's around. She was also very direct when putting us in poses, which was so helpful, because we had no idea what to do with ourselves. The pictures are beautiful-thank you Rachel! -

Not only is she ridiculously talented, but she is the warmest, silliest person and makes you feel very comfortable. She will bring out all of the feeling and love into the pictures that you will have forever. I wouldn't have anybody else doing my pictures for anything important, ever again! Her artist eye is incredible. She gets a vibe from you as a couple and as the theme of your wedding and totally goes along with it for her photography style. If you need a Pittsburgh photographer, USE RACHEL ROWLAND!! You will look at one picture -- and it will take your breath away. -
User1309139 Sent on 08/31/2013I set up a meeting with Rachel to interview her as our potential wedding photographer. Within 15 minutes, I felt like we were old friends. She is warm, and sincere, and very passionate (about many things). Her love of life, her husband Jerry (her 2nd shooter), and her profession come thru almost immediately. Our wedding photos were amazing. Many people commented on how her pictures captured much more then the people & places involved. They captured feelings. They captured the love that was celebrated that day! You must meet Rachel & Jerry. You too will love them as we now do.

When searching for a photographer I was looking for someone who would capture every moment so we would be able to eliminate a videographer. Rachel and Jerry have a way of capturing the reception in pictures I've never seen before! They will take any photograph you ask for and put their special touch to it! I can't wait to use them again in the future for maternity and family pictures!

Dan Sent on 09/29/2016Rachel did an absolutely beautiful job with the photos for our wedding! The wedding process is stressful, and the day of, Rachel could tell that we were both a little stressed out. She kept us feeling loose and upbeat, and she was so flexible with everything. Our families are both really big, but during family photos, she kept everyone under control and happy.
Another thing: We’ve been to weddings where during the reception, the photographer is in the way and super visible. Not Rachel. She and her assistant were like ninjas. They moved so quietly, never blocked our guests, and still got amazing photos!
Everything they shot — from getting ready shots to first-look photos to family photos to shots of the reception — were just fantastic. The night we got our photos back, we spent two hours watching the slideshow of all the photos, oohing and ahhing over every image. She did SUCH great work, and we’re so happy that we worked with her for our wedding!
